Laurie Reynard, M.D. Ob-Gyn Ob-Gyn in Santa Monica I've been a solo Ob-Gyn in practice for 29 years in Santa Monica. I take care of women of all ages. I have an active obstetric practice.

I use both Saint John's hospital and Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center. I'm at the delivery of over 95% of my patients. I give personalized care in a small, private office, that is newly redecorated and modernized for the comfort of my patients. I have a special interest in pre-natal ultrasound and I have a state-of-the-art 3D/4D ultrasound machine. I'm certified to obtain nuchal translucency measurements for the first screen, and have obtained 300+. My other interests include emphasis on preventative healthcare, menopausal management, sexual health, and provide full-range of contraceptive options including IUD placement and Implanon. I take most PPO insurances. Available in the office 4 days per week, including 8 AM appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I'm Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA. I teach interns, residents, and medical students at Harbor UCLA.

St. John's Hospital has a Laborist on site 24/7 as of January 1!That means the hospital can now safely accommodate VBAC patients. I now feel comfortable having VBAC patients at St. John's. There are certain factors that improve a patient's chance for a successful trial of labor if they had a previous c-section. If they had a c-section for breech or have previously had a vaginal delivery that is a plus. If they go into labor spontaneously before 40 weeks, have a cervix that is 2 cm dilated rather than long and closed, and have a baby no bigger than their previous pregnancy are positive signs for a successful trial.

I have been active in the Los Angeles County Medical Association for many years. This year I have the honor of serving as President of the Bay District 5. One of my is for Westside private practioners to have a closer relationship with UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. We are in the process of planning a speed mentoring event to expose Second Year Medical Students to all of the various medical subspecialties to help them make that important decisicion of what field they want to enter.

I am pleased to announce that as of November 1, 2011 I am sharing the office with Andrea L. Stein, M.D. She has been in Santa Monica for many years and has a well-established gynecology and infertiliy practice. She also has an interest in medical ethics. In March 2011, we completely remodeled the office with new walls, carpeting, and flooring and the office has a fresh, bright and modern look thanks to the talent of Hilary Green.
