Job Opportunity! Medical Assistant for Santa Monica Medical Practice
We’re hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join a wonderful Medical practice in Santa Monica. If you have 2+ years of dermatology/aesthetics experience and thrive in a busy, multi-practitioner office, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Dermatologist with in-office procedures and minor surgeries
- Coordinate pharmacy call-ins and medication details with patients
- Patient intake and updating history confirming all information is current and correct
- Due to smaller staff size, all staff are expected to help in all parts of the office as needed
- Must be open to helping Back or Front Office
Requirements:
- Certified Medical Assistant status required!
- Must have 2+ years of recent medical private practice work experience with employment longevity
- Dermatology practice work experience is required!
- This office is "medical dermatology" so preferred candidates should be comfortable with maintaining a natural appearance.
- Requires the ability and desire to work with other team members to ensure excellent customer service, a smooth office flow, and maximum use of practitioners’ time including paying attention to other staff to voluntarily assist in other areas as needed
- Blood draw is not needed but must have experience establishing a sterile field, sterilizing instruments, and assisting with minor surgical procedures
Schedule & Benefits:
- Compensation $24-26
- Excellent benefits package including Health, parking, and 4% match in the 401(k) plan!
- Schedule - Monday - Friday, Office hours are 8 am-5 pm

Job Details:
- Assist with Back Office
- Room patients, take vitals, document medical histories, perform injections, and venipuncture
- Work well with other staff to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow into and through the practice
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Medical Assistant
- Experience must include Internal Medicine or some area such as Cardio, Pulm, etc
- Ability to work in a busy environment, prioritize, and handle various tasks efficiently
- Must be computer proficient with some experience working with an EMR/EHR system (Epic, Nextgen highly desired)
Compensation and Schedule:
- $22-$25/hr based on experience
- Strong benefits package including 75% paid health, parking, vacation, sick, holidays, pension plan, uniform allowance, and life insurance!
- Monday - Frdiay 8:00 am - 5:00 pm or 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

1. Between patient consultations or procedures, take a minute to practice deep, mindful breathing. This simple act helps reduce stress, refocuses your mind, and keeps you grounded amidst a busy day.
2. Set aside specific times during your day to detach from digital devices. A brief walk outside or a quiet moment to yourself can help reset your mental state and prevent burnout from constant screen exposure.
3. At the end of your shift, jot down three things you’re grateful for that day. This practice can shift your mindset, foster a positive outlook, and help you stay connected to the meaningful aspects of your work!

Qualifications:
3+ years' experience doing the books for multiple health practitioners
