Dave Hoon's laboratory has more than 350 publications, many reporting significant advances in our understanding of the human genome and cancer. The department has hosted a succession of more than 65 postdoctoral fellows from USA and worldwide. Today, they are researchers in this exciting and rapidly advancing field, with positions at academic cancer centers worldwide. The department engages in global translational studies in collaboration with the Genome Institute, Singapore; the Israel Institute of Technology and Tel Aviv Cancer Center, Haifa, Israel; Keio University, Tokyo, Japan; University of Fudan, Huashan Hospital, Shanghai, China and the Australian Institute Melanoma, Sydney, Australia. The department participates in joint programs with domestic cancer centers including MD Anderson, University of Texas, the University of Philadelphia, MGH, and UC Irvine and also works closely with multiple biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Shanthy Chenathukattil Recognized With SJCI Mission Spirit Award

Congratulations to Shanthy Chenathukattil, senior research specialist, who is the recipient of Saint John's Cancer Institute's spring Mission Spirit Award.



This award recognizes one caregiver who inspires others by living out our Mission in exemplary ways and as "expressions of God's healing love."​​​​​​​



Throughout her more than 30 years of service at the institute, Shanthy has remained helpful and compassionate to her fellow caregivers. She has demonstrated excellence in completing her projects and showed integrity through her long-term organization of the institute’s biorepository sample requests and retrievals.
