Join us on the serene 40-acre monastic grounds of the Quan Am Nam Hai Monastery in Panama City for our 7th Day of Mindfulness on Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 8:30AM - 4:00PM. The Day is co-sponsored by the Gulf Coast Community of Mindfulness.

The day begins with a vigorous Qi Gong session, awakening body and breath. We then move into sitting meditation and walking meditation through the beautiful grounds, pausing to rest beside the newly imported bell from Vietnam—a powerful symbol of awakening and presence.

At noon, a delicious vegan meal lovingly prepared by the sangha will be shared in silent eating meditation.

The afternoon includes a full body relaxation meditation and a Dharma talk offered by the abbess, the venerable Thich Thanh Dieu Giac (aka Master Tran.)

🌸 🌸 Therapy for the Soul Presents 🌸 Tuesday, March 10, 2026 in the beautiful Zen Garden of the Destin Library for- 9:00 - 10:30 AM.

✨ Compassion: Love in Action ✨✨

with guest speaker Felicia Crawford

Hosted by the Emerald Coast Meditation Society

🗓 March 10th • 9:00 AM

📍 Destin Library: 150 Sibert Ave., Destin

Bring a yoga cushion, blanket or chair to sit in

Compassion is the sacred language of the heart — a force that transcends religion, culture, age, and identity. It is love expressed in motion. It is the courage to meet suffering with presence and respond with kindness. This gathering is an invitation to experience compassion not as an idea, but as a living spiritual practice that nourishes both self and world.

We begin by arriving together in stillness, opening the morning with a 15-minute guided group meditation to settle the mind and awaken the heart. From this shared quiet, Felicia Crawford offers a Dharma talk exploring compassion as an active path — how small, intentional acts of care expand consciousness and ripple outward into collective healing. The experience gently concludes with a walking meditation through the Zen gardens, allowing reflection and breath to merge with movement on the beautiful grounds of the Destin Library.

✨ 15-minute group meditation to open the heart

🌸 Dharma talk on compassion as spiritual action

🚶 Walking meditation in the Zen gardens

💛 Community, presence, and shared peace

This event is open, free, and welcoming to all ages and all walks of life. Whether you are new to meditation or deeply rooted in practice, you are invited into a space of warmth, gentleness, and belonging.

Yesterday’s gathering at the Destin Library was a beautiful expression of Metta—Loving Kindness—in action.

We were grateful to meet indoors for a warm and welcoming program led by Alexandra Duffy, who guided us into the heart of Loving Kindness meditation. With clarity and sincerity, Alexandra guided us through a Metta meditaiton. She reminded us that Metta begins within and gently ripples outward—to those we love and to those we find difficult and ultimately to all beings everywhere.

We ended the morning with a walking meditation in the Zen garden, led by master gardener Velda Dougherty. The garden is in its winter phase with tiny stirrings of green beneath the stillness.

ECMS meets at the Destin Library on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:00 - 10:30 am and welcomes all meditators. All are welcome to this non sectarian and free event.
