Whether you’re here for open play, a parenting workshop, or therapy services, you’ll find a warm, welcoming environment tailored to support every stage of your child’s growth. The Play Studio is a proud extension of the Short Family’s passion for supporting children and families. Founder Margaret Short, M.S., BCBA, is a longtime local and toddler mom with a deep commitment to her community. With years of experience in behavior therapy and parent coaching, Margaret has helped countless families navigate the early years with confidence and connection. Rooted in clinical expertise and built with love, The Play Studio is more than a place to play—it’s a community designed to nurture development through movement, creativity, and meaningful interaction.

Welcome to the heart of imagination — The Play Studio Town Square.

Pretend play isn’t just fun… it’s foundational. It builds communication skills, confidence, empathy, problem-solving, and social development. When children step into a role, they step into growth.

Inside Town Square, your little ones will explore three interactive concepts:

🛍 The Play Studio Market – where they can shop, stock shelves, and practice real-world exchanges.

💇‍♂️ The Play Studio Parlor – a playful barber shop setting designed to help children feel comfortable and confident in a space that can sometimes feel overwhelming in real life.

🩺 The Play Studio Clinic – where budding doctors (and veterinarians!) can care for patients… because yes, the clinic doubles as a veterinary office for all those very important stuffed animal emergencies 🐾

Town Square is where imagination meets life skills — and where play has purpose.

We cannot wait to see your little ones running the town. 🏘✨
