2026 = 1966 Fire Horse Lunar Year: It’s GO TIME!

⚡️Here in Sonoma County just before the dawn, the Fire Horse opened with a solar eclipse, followed by a local lightning storm. Thunder bellowed so strongly, the windows rattled—thankfully they didn’t shatter! This year, the Chinese Lunar New Year coincides with the Tibetan new year, Lent, and with the opening of Ramadan for billions of Muslims praying worldwide. Game on! 🔥

There is no stopping the heart (fire element) galloping ahead, but there is wisdom in how to maintain balance with this unique momentum. This is a time of transformation. If you have been watching on social media, the monks walking for peace truly embody this creative spark. Their timing, impeccable. What touched me most was the sincerity of the action itself. 💜

Their leader, Bhikku Pannakara, has expressed in speeches that he felt deeply sad and helpless witnessing how many are suffering at this time. As he meditated and sat with this discomfort, his heart became inspired to make this 2300 mile walk for peace. He sat with what was heavy, undigested, & unsettled. His heart alchemized the denser emotions into inspiration and singular action. The power of that sincerity created a momentum larger than the monks themselves; a peace movement that has brought healing and hope to millions. 🌏

As we navigate the creative passion of the fire horse, tend to the heart. Honor our suffering. Don’t look away. Don’t get lost rushing ahead or in fiery emotion burning out of control. Don’t let adversity or exhaustion dim hope. We’ve all been through a lot. It’s time. ❤️

SPRING EQUINOX: HOT Enough For YOU Yet?

After 2020, a long-time client & friend came to see me weekly to relieve his back pain. A Vietnam Veteran inclined towards spiritual endeavors, he had lived all over the world practicing as a hypno-therapist. As nasty politics and protests broke out, our collective heart was broken by the COVID universal suffering. He would come in joking with me…“So…is it hot enough for you yet?”

We would both laugh at how over the top it all was as we started his treatment. Besides relieving pain, acupuncture also brings regulation to a nervous system that’s lost its ability to smoothly transition between parasympathetic (rest and digest) and sympathetic (fight, flight, freeze, or faun). It stimulates the Vagus Nerve that controls our digestion, immune system, respiration, and heart rate.

These autonomic nervous system "gears" respond to our surroundings. A healthy nervous system releases the "charge" of stress once danger has passed. These days, humanity’s collective nervous system seems to be in a constant state of stress. We are not meant to have the gas pedal on all the time. When we run out of gas without filling the tank, the body breaks down and the spirit is depleted.

This Spring Equinox, I wish you renewal and rebirth. I wish you a shedding of skin, a release of what no longer is, and a renewed state of vitality and inner peace as the flowers bloom.

I have gone through my own miraculous healing over the last 5 years. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s exactly what my spirit called in.

This New Year of the Wood Snake is here!

Full of determination, our wood element strongly influences positive direction & action. It yells and tantrums (literally!) when there are blocks, resistance, or toxins. It demands restorative time to keep flow in our bodies and lives. Exuberant passion, work, and ideologies are balanced with the natural adaptability of wood, standing strong and rooted but moving easily with the breeze.

The forward momentum of this year demands a shedding of what no longer works for you. If you avoid or procrastinate in taking action or letting go, wood snake will let you know, that's for sure! Nourished wood maintains its flexibility in action. Snake sheds and regenerates, reminding us, this too shall pass. Patience, balance and not giving up will support successful outcomes and personal transformation during challenging times.

We are the sturdiness of wood, moving closer to what inspires us and makes us feel whole. As we power through 2025, you are welcome to come visit me for a nervous system reset in person or at a distance. I love that acupuncture and qi gong healing not only reduces pain and anxiety, but it deeply restores a sense of peace, opening the possibility for change on any level you are seeking it.

It's been a wild ride since 2020! But here we are in 2024. It's time to embrace our power to heal & the strength we have in change. We've earned wisdom through our trials and tribulations.

There is medicine in suffering, medicine in hardship, and there is hope available every moment. Losing hope is the #1 way dark forces try to take us down. This cactus flowering again exact to the full moon's timing today just another reminder of Divine Provision.

Photos from full moon last week: before and after flowering with the height of full moon 6:35 PST to the hour! I hope this simple bloom and it's magical synchronicity with this intense moon cycle radiates hope and medicine to all who need it this moment.

This cactus (a gift from a client) flowered AGAIN with the full moon just like 4 weeks ago. It's never flowered before, so I took it as an auspicious sign! Last moon cycle I was feeling the softest, most beautiful higher level spiritual energies down pouring. I felt turbulence possible from the new frequencies coming in, but I never imagined what we have seen in the last 4 weeks between these 2 full moons.

Love and blessings surround all who have hit intense, incredible struggles over this last month.

After 11 years of treatments with combat veterans and those who served in our military, I've learned that some of the most humble people looking to better their lives sign up for service. I learned that those drafted, perhaps not by choice, sacrificed a course of a lifetime.

My respect deepened for individuals who served in our military. Often the journey doesn't end when they come home. And many never come home at all.

Although my time working with the VA has come to an end, I will always welcome veterans as patients! Especially those who have chemical poisoning and need help with nutritional detoxification to get well.

I am eternally grateful to be one of the first acupuncturists in the US to render weekly acupuncture long term in cases of intractable pain, PTSD nightmares, Lyme disease, chemical poisoning, Multiple Sclerosis, and other neuro-degenerative conditions. Acupuncture applied consistently helps people get well.

Thank you to all the hundreds of Veterans who came to my clinic over the last 11 years for thousands of treatments! I really appreciate the journey. What I learned in working with this collective I will carry with me for life.
