Last fall I threw a black tomato out of a bunch I was gifted, into the garden bed and hoped it would be a lovely volunteer this year when the time was right. I was thrilled to see they joined the party! I love when my throw it in there and see if it works method actually works.

Thank you for introducing me to this delicious Osha root honey chew from Pharmacopia Herbals at the last NCWHS. This has helped so much clearing me up so I can breathe again. It was a great class on Lymphatic system and the Apiaceae family. I can't wait to learn more!

Elderberry flowers!! This is the first bloom since having this shrub. They have a very delicate flavor perfect for making syrups, but I will let these produce berries for medicine making.

Feeling the need for plant therapy. Not so much the medicine of after the harvest, but getting my hands in the soil and bringing in the right plants.
A little marshmallow and skullcap is perfect for right now to keep things moving and settle the nerves.
This book by Leslie Gardener is a great resource for what the plants need, and not just what we get from them.

Today tea blend - 2 parts hibiscus, 1 part red raspberry leaf, 1 part burdock, 1 part damiana, 1/2 part Ceylon cinnamon chips, 1/2 part roses.

Delicious, toning, purifying, while grounding the body as well as being uplifting to the spirit.

I’ve been doing a lot of blending new herbal recipes lately trying to find which ones I will mix to share.

All this spring activity and hard work is pushing me to my limits and I feel called to replenish my body.

There is so much nutrient rich healing in red raspberry, horsetail, nettle, and alfalfa, with some ginger to help absorption and the grounding that I need.
I will save half of this for a tincture for quick and easy medicinal doses, and the other half for tea to enjoy the ceremony of slowing down.
