Anxiety is often a reaction to living too far in the future. Come back to now—where your feet are, where your breath is, where your power lives.

Foster needed

These two adorable dogs are arriving this afternoon and their foster fell through. We are still trying to get their ages but they are two cute as buttons, small breed Terriers. If you can house these littles until they find their forever homes please email us right away. They really need a place to stay.

Foster needed in Sonoma County

This guy needs a foster as soon as possible. I know nothing about him except he's swarming with fleas and he's currently hanging out around a house he has attached himself to. He gets along with other dogs. I don't know his age, or weight, or if he's good with cats, et al. What I do know is he can't get help at the local animal shelters because they are full and people who find dogs are being told to go put them back where they found them. There's no flea bath and medication to kill the infestation, no food, blanket, or sounds of rustling in the kitchen from his person cooking dinner. I don't think he's in a remote area so the greatest danger to him is getting struck by a vehicle or injured by some monster that likes to harm animals.

I need this dog like I need a hole in my head, but he needs help. Even though we will help him, get him medical care, food, a dog bed and all the things he once had but lost. We'll find him a new home where he can spend the rest of his years. But it's all a fantasy if one of YOU in our community will not step up and FOSTER him. It's a terrible time right now out in the world and everyone's struggling. I've put up foster requests this year and no one steps up and I wait for that one person to step up. Instead of doing what I do, finding, rehabbing and rehoming dogs, I've watched dog after dog die by lethal injection that shouldn't have. It's not my fault or your fault, it's just the world we live in. But for this one dog, can't someone step up and foster him because I really don't want to see a picture of him dead and bloated because he was run over by a car and died in the road.

ONE PERSON out of the 20,000 we have on the page. This dog needs one person. And since I'm being so blunt and honest, don't comment on this post saying you'll take the dog and then not bother emailing the rescue to go through the approval process. It's a messed up thing to do because it makes people think the dog is safe when really you just want your ego stroked by people thanking you. Don't do it.

If you've email before to foster and didn't get contacted the dog may have found foster, you may have not been the best fit for that particular dog, lived outside our county, or any number of reasons. Not everyone gets called. We just get too many emails, returning them is all I would do every day. Instead of commenting that you sent in an app, please resend it. Maybe this dog would be a better fit for your household.

If YOU ARE THE ONE for this dog please email us right away at dogmaanimalrescue@gmail.com.
