Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) teaches pain patients to not fear their pain. Somatic tracking guides patients as they learn to move their bodies without the fear of pain. You learn to track your pain without responding to it through breathing exercises, body scans, meditation, muscle relaxation techniques, etc. Their pain is no longer perceived as harmful, a threat or as damage to the body. The goal is to eventually lower the patient’s pain. The concept of PRT is centered around Neuroplasticity.
