"The Guardian" has had a bit of cosmetic surgery but her heart remained intact. She watches over me and is the angel tree topper for the Christmas tree. She is lit and hanging directly behind the tree.

Art is always the answer. I haven't painted in 3 months and in order to process the grief, the uncertainty, the fears, the endless paperwork and details of everyday life that need to be tended to I need to paint to find my path. Things have been stirring for awhile so will be interesting to see what comes through the canvas.

This is the point I'm ready to scream … I'm going to take a break and come back later. Branches coming out from her head, her neck is the trunk of the tree and the roots go down … Art makes you vulnerable as hell.

Playing with a new one "Mother Earth/Mother Nature". You know my art morphs so I never know what will happen next. It is just like life, you think it is going to be this way and then it ends up being something completely different. Just have to try to go with the flow and trust.

I didn't want to paint this one, it freaked me out but I kept going and it kept changing and now I see as one of the most powerful pieces I have done. She is grounded and connected and the energy flows through her. Her ancestors and loved ones support her and she is plugged in to life and a reservoir of wisdom and information that is available to us.

The Guardian. She is compassion itself and helps transform sorrow and heal your heart. I painted this after my husband died and worked on her for a long time. She helped me to know and trust that we are all loved and cared for and never left on our own … even at the moment of death … we are not alone.

Goddess of Leopards and Champagne Bubbles. She is primal and sophisticated, she is tender and fierce, she is paradox. She is protectress of wildlife and partial to big cats. She saves us all from total domestication to preserve our wild nature so we can roam free in the world.

She Sees. She holds up a globe, a container of light and wisdom to help lead the tribe. She does not alter or dilute the messages and allows each person access to experience the vision it holds.
