: National Doctors' Day is a day celebrated to recognize the contributions of physicians to individual lives & communities.

Today more than ever, during this very difficult & unprecedented time we need to stop & thank those who are at the front line in this war, along with their nurses who've sacrificed their lives & families to help ours & our families.

Thank you for the hardwork of our doctors & healthcare workers who keep our communities safe.

: What's the difference between 9-1-1 & 2-1-1?

Please help reduce COVID-19 exposure to first responders. We urge the public to limit unnecessary contact with first responders as the coronavirus continues to spread across the state. Anyone worried they or their loved ones may be exposed to or suffering from COVID-19 should know the difference between 911 & 211 calls.

911 is not necessary for stable people with flu-like symptoms. Please use 211 to get advice of the best and quickest methods for yourself individually.

If your condition warrants an emergency response, they will advise you to contact 911. As always, for life-threatening injuries/illnesses call 911 immediately.

πŸ™ŒπŸΌ PSA for the day. I have heard it said many times that health care workers are making jokes and not taking COVID 19 serious. I would like to bring 4 facts to your attention.

First, to work in healthcare, you must have a sick/dark sense of humor - sorry it’s just a requirement. And if you aren’t one of us, you don’t understand.

Second, just because we aren’t buying 50 cases of TP and fighting over the last can of Lysol at our local Walmart, it doesn’t mean we aren’t preparing. Actually, we go to work daily not knowing what diseases we may come in contact with.....So infection prevention and standard precautions are part of our everyday life.

Third, when has mass hysteria helped any situation? Maybe we are trained to stay calm, cool, and collected in stressful situations.

Last but not least, while everyone is concerned about travel bans, government enforced quarantines, and being out of school/work for who knows how long, who do you think will still be allowed and required to go to work?

You guessed it -Healthcare workers. So please don’t judge us. We may be your MA, CNA, LPN, RN, NP, PA, MD, EMT, RT, CRNA, or any of the other many disciplines it takes to make the health care world go round. That is all, now go wash your hands. 😷🧼🚰🏨

If you work in health care please copy and paste to your status!

****And to all the other people having to go to work to keep everyone safe and power running, water flowing.....it really takes everyone trying your best!****

Thank you πŸ™πŸ½
