As there are many unknowns with COVID-19 and the recent changes in different environments, we are committed to doing all that we can do to continue to keep our staff and clients healthy.

We realize some of you continue to wear your masks at the center, but as a company, KDA will be bringing back masks for all staff and families regardless of vaccination status as we take precautions, effective Monday 8/9/2021.

As always, please remember to wash your hands frequently and social distance.

To our KDA families. Tomorrow is a day when we typically stop and think about all of the things we are thankful for. On this day, and every day, we think about how thankful we are you and your family are a part of our KDA family.

This year has brought unimaginable challenges for all of us, but look at how much we have accomplished. We have tackled change of routines, implemented telehealth, and adopted and integrated a different kind of in-person therapy together, and it’s been successful because of you. We appreciate all parents, grandparents, and caregivers who are putting in the extra time and energy every day to help your child continue to grow and learn in a world of uncertainty. And, we want to say “Thank You!”.

It is your support and encouragement that has made it possible for KDA to continue to provide the therapy interventions we do for your child. So, thank you for everything you have done this year and continue to do. Please have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving and remember to be mindful about your holiday plans. If your family will be traveling or attending large gatherings, we strongly encourage you to consider switching your child to telehealth for two weeks upon returning. Please let us know as we can easily accommodate that for you! Thank you for your dedication to keeping our centers safe and healthy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Here is a five star google review from one of our parents. Not only is this a “proud mom moment” for this parent, but it is a VERY proud moment for Ms. Eryn and all other individuals involved in this child’s care! ❤️

“If I could I would give 10 stars. I first want to give my experience regarding the speech services we receive: My son has been severely delayed in his speech. I had the Regional center complete an assessment and they determined that at 13 months old he was only speaking at a 6 month level. They completed the referral to Kara Dodds & Associates. Because of Covid-19 we started with tele-health appointments via phone until we were able to complete in session services. The therapist that was assigned to us at this time was very patient with my then 13 month year old and did not only help start to teach my son sign language but also took the time to teach me as well. We were off to a great start. Once offices re opened and we were able to move to in office appointments, my son was assigned to a new therapist. (I also forgot to mention above that my son suffers from severe separation anxiety from me). The first appointment we met our new therapist Eryn and it was an experience. My son was not happy to leave my sight and it took some time to get him to go back to the room. By week 3, not only was my son excited to go to his appointment with Ms. Eryn, but I would have to stop him from taking off and running straight to her room. (Proud Mom Moment). Even though we still have a long way to go with my sons speech I can say that thanks to Kara Dodds and Associates, we have learned how to communicate with each other. Secondly: The front desk ladies have always been so on top of it when needing to re arrange his appointments to accommodate my work schedule and have made sure to keep in touch with me regarding any updates. Again, thank you Kara Dodds & Associates for all that you have done to help myself and my family.”

🌯Burritos with Buddies🌯 Our Santee staff are all enjoying their Thursday lunchtime with some DELICIOUS burritos from Sombrero Mexican Food... but don’t worry, they all completed their daily health check before coming into work 🤗 They are healthy and HUNGRY!

🎉Happy Friday! 🎉 We would like to introduce ANOTHER great addition to our team of Speech Therapists.

✨Meet Miss. Wen-Hsin!✨

She is such a personable and intelligent therapist. In her weeks of being here, we have heard nothing but great things about her from our families and staff. She holds high the importance empowering and supporting the children and families she works with.

Outside of therapy she likes to keep things fun while traveling, exploring, and playing board games with family and friends!
