YLF is a summer program for high school students with disabilities who want to build leadership skills, meet new friends, and learn how to advocate for themselves and their communities.

Students spend an exciting week on a college campus learning, growing, and planning for their future.

The BEST STEP Summer 2026 application is now open. This program is for students age 16 and older with a documented disability who are DRS clients or eligible for services and returning to school in 2026.

Participants build job skills, connect with peers, and may apply for paid internships in their communities. BEST STEP takes place in June and July 2026. Applications are due March 2, 2026.
