The Oklahoma Rural Health Transformation Program has released a public grant application through a Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Rural Regional Reorientation (RRR) Program.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. CT on June 12, 2026.

RRR will provide grants of up to $4 million to eligible clinical and social service providers, either individually or in partnership with one or more entities.

Did you know bats are one of the main carriers of rabies in Oklahoma? People and pets get rabies mainly from bites by infected animals, but there are several ways to prevent this. If you see a bat, do not touch it or pick it up.
Rabies is seen in skunks and in smaller numbers in horses, cattle, cats, dogs and other mammals. The OSDH Epidemiologist-on-Call is available 24/7 regarding rabies recommendations specific to animal bites at (405) 426-8710.
