You wouldn't step onto a site without your hard hat or steel toes: it’s just common sense. But what about the safety gear you can't see?

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and in the construction industry, this conversation is more critical than ever. We work in a high-stress environment with long hours, tight deadlines, and heavy physical demands. It’s easy to focus solely on the physical hazards, but the mental load is just as real.

At CEH Security & Safety Solutions, we believe that a truly safe job site is one where the crew is protected from the inside out. Mental health isn't just a personal matter; it’s a vital part of your team's overall safety and performance. When we're mentally distracted or overwhelmed, the risk of physical accidents increases.

Take a moment today to check in on your teammates. A simple, "How are you really doing?" can go a long way. Let's look out for each other so everyone makes it home safe: in both body and mind. 🧠🏗️

Looking to build a stronger, more supportive safety culture for your team? We’re here to help with training and resources tailored to your specific needs.

Did you know that teams of 10 or fewer workers face injury rates nearly DOUBLE those of larger firms?

At CEH Security & Safety Solutions, we call this the "Small Crew Paradox."

According to the latest CPWR data, the smallest firms in construction often struggle with disproportionately higher risks. Why? It usually comes down to three things:

1. Limited access to formal safety resources.
2. Less frequent training sessions.
3. A "just get it done" culture that often prioritizes speed over compliance.

Being small shouldn’t mean being less safe.

We specialize in helping small crews bridge this gap with safety programs tailored to your specific operations: no corporate fluff, just the essential training your team needs to get home safely every day.

Don’t let your size be a safety liability. Let’s build a culture of protection that fits your business perfectly.

April is Equipment Theft Awareness Month! 🏗️ As the construction season picks up, so do jobsite thefts. Losing heavy machinery or specialized tools can cause major delays and financial strain.

Is your site ready? Now is the time for a thorough security audit. Here are three ways to protect your assets today:

1. Secure the Perimeter: Check fencing and use visible signage to establish a clear boundary. 🚧
2. Enhance Lighting: Motion-activated lights are a powerful deterrent for after-hours activity. 💡
3. Implement Tracking: Use GPS on high-value equipment to increase recovery chances. 🛰️

At CEH Security & Safety Solutions LLC, we’ve been helping teams secure their sites since 2014. We offer expert advice and tailored security programs to fit your specific needs.

Don’t wait for a theft to happen. Contact us today at cehconsulting.org to book a security consultation and keep your project on track.

It only takes 15 minutes to save a life. 🕒

As the National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls approaches on May 4th, we are reminding our partners in the construction industry that safety isn’t a delay: it’s the foundation of every successful project. 🏗️

A common misconception is that fall protection gear and inspections "slow people down." In reality, a quick 15-minute pause to inspect harnesses, verify anchor points, and review procedures is the most valuable insurance your crew can have. It is about more than just compliance; it is about ensuring every member of your team gets home safely at the end of the day.

Is your team prepared for the Stand-Down? At CEH Security & Safety Solutions LLC, we specialize in helping companies lead these critical conversations and refreshing fall protection training for crews of all sizes.

Don't wait until the calendar is full. Contact us today at cehconsulting.org to book your session and prioritize your team's safety. 🛡️

80°F is your crew's new "yellow light."

Under the 2026 OSHA Heat Rule, 80°F is the official threshold where proactive safety must begin. For small construction and industrial teams, this is the trigger for mandatory hydration and shaded rest protocols. The goal is to prevent heat stress before the 90°F "red light" leads to a medical emergency.

Protecting your team isn’t just about compliance: it’s about operational strength. In a small crew, every person is essential. CEH Security & Safety Solutions specializes in helping small businesses navigate these updated standards with practical, tailored heat stress plans.

Don't wait for the first heatwave to scramble for a plan. Contact us at cehconsulting.org today to ensure your team is protected and your business stays compliant this season. 🏗️

In a cardiac emergency on a job site, time isn't just money: it's everything. The first four minutes are the most critical window for response, making your Automated External Defibrillator (AED) the undisputed MVP of your safety gear.

Is your site truly prepared to use those four minutes effectively? An AED is only a lifesaver if it’s ready to work the moment it’s pulled off the wall.

Perform these quick checks today:
- Batteries: Ensure the status indicator shows a full charge.
- Pads: Check expiration dates; adhesive gel dries out over time.
- Location: Is it unobstructed and clearly marked for everyone on site?
- Training: Does your team know exactly where it is and how to use it through regular drills?

At CEH Security & Safety Solutions, we specialize in equipping industrial and construction teams with the hands-on training and confidence needed to act under pressure. Don’t wait for an emergency to find out if your team is ready.

Contact us today at cehconsulting.org to schedule your next safety training session. Let’s make sure your MVP is always ready for the game. 🛡️

April 30th Deadline! 🗓️

Is your OSHA Form 300A still visible?

A quick reminder for our construction and industrial partners: OSHA requires that the Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses (Form 300A) remains posted in a conspicuous place where employees can see it until April 30th.

Keeping this form up isn't just a formality: it’s one of the first things an inspector looks for during a site visit. Missing documentation is a red flag that can lead to deeper inspections and potential fines.

Take five minutes today to walk your site and ensure your bulletin boards are up to date. It’s a simple step that shows your commitment to transparency and safety. It keeps your crew informed and your company prepared.

Need a hand navigating OSHA requirements or keeping your safety programs on track? At CEH Security & Safety Solutions, we’re here to help you stay compliant and keep your crews protected.

Want to be the “Safety Champion” on a small crew: without the headache?

Try this simple 3-step roadmap that actually works (because it’s built on worker participation + hazard identification):

1) ASK: Start each shift with one quick question: “What can hurt us today?”
2) FIND: Do a 5-minute walkaround and write down hazards (not opinions). Look for slips/trips, pinch points, struck-by zones, overhead work, and changing site conditions.
3) FIX/SHARE: Pick ONE hazard to control now, then share the win at the next huddle.

Small crews don’t need more paperwork: they need a repeatable habit.

If you want a ready-to-use “Safety Champion” checklist for tailgate meetings, contact us today at cehconsulting.org before the calendar fills up!

If it’s not bolted down, it’s at risk. 🚧

Tool theft isn't just an inconvenience: it’s a major hit to your bottom line and your project timeline. One of the best ways to protect your investment is with high-grade, pry-resistant jobsite boxes.

Think of a heavy-duty gang box as your site's first line of defense. It keeps expensive hand tools and equipment off the table for opportunistic thieves and sends a clear message that your site is secured. 🧰🛡️

Don't leave your gear to chance. Is your equipment locked up tight before your team heads home for the day?

At CEH Security & Safety Solutions, we’re dedicated to helping small crews stay prepared with expert security advice and training tailored to your needs. 🛠️

Fire alarm goes off on site: what should your crew do next?

Use this quick checklist:
1) Stop work immediately.
2) If it’s safe, shut down equipment/tools (do not delay evacuation).
3) Evacuate using the nearest safe exit route: do not run, do not go back for gear.
4) Go straight to the designated muster point.
5) Supervisor/lead takes accountability: roll call/headcount and verify visitors/contractors.
6) Assign one person to call 911 (or site emergency number) and provide: address, entry gate, what you see/smell, and who is missing (if anyone).
7) Do NOT silence or reset the alarm: only authorized personnel/emergency responders.
8) No re-entry until the ALL CLEAR is given.
