It was a powerful day filled with compassion, connection and courage. We're honored to walk in solidarity with those affected and to help spread the message that hope is real, and help is always available.

🏃‍♂️💪 Mud, Mission and Motivation! 💪🏃‍♀️

Residents from St. Joseph's Addiction Treatment & Recovery Centers' Col. C. David Merkel, MD Veterans and First Responders Residential Program proudly took on the Warrior Challenge Run at Camp Serenity in Colton, NY recently! 🌲🪖

This annual mud run supports Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures (WWOA) — a nonprofit dedicated to providing free therapeutic outdoor experiences like fishing, hunting, camping and boating for wounded warriors, veterans and their families. 🎣🏕️🛶

The Fieldstone Foundation was a proud sponsor of this year’s event, and were honored to stand behind a cause that uplifts our heroes through nature, camaraderie and challenge. 💛 Huge thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered and cheered us on! 🙌

🏃‍♂️ On September 13th, four residents from North Country Freedom Homes proudly participated in the 5th Annual Recovery River Run in Ogdensburg, NY! 💜

Each September, we join together for National Recovery Month to honor the strength of our recovery community, raise awareness and remind everyone that recovery is possible—and within reach.

The Recovery River Run, presented by the Seaway Valley Prevention Council and The Valley Recovery Center, has become a platform for unity, hope and celebration of recovery across St. Lawrence County. 💪✨ Thank you the organizers for another great year!

🌊💚 St. Joseph’s Addiction Treatment & Recovery Centers was proud to once again support the Adirondack Canoe Classic — the iconic 90-Miler!

From Old Forge to Lake Flower, more than 600 paddlers made the three-day journey, filling the waters and shores of Saranac Lake with determination, teamwork and plenty of smiles. 🚣✨

We’re grateful to be part of such a beloved community tradition that celebrates resilience, connection and the beauty of the Adirondacks.

🌟 Honoring International Overdose Awareness Day 🌟

On August 31, residents at St. Joseph’s Addiction Treatment & Recovery Centers came together to mark International Overdose Awareness Day with light, love and remembrance. ✨

Through creating memorial lanterns, they celebrated the lives of loved ones and carried forward this year’s theme: “One Big Family, Driven by Hope.” 💜

With purple wristbands as a symbol of unity and healing, the day served as a reminder that no one walks this journey alone—and that hope shines brightest when we share it together.

The August session of our nine-month Leadership Institute brought together rising leaders from St. Joseph’s, Citizen Advocates and the Fieldstone Foundation.

💬 The group explored how leadership can spark change, lift others up and create ripples across an entire organization.

From there, participants stepped into the spotlight to present big-picture overviews of their group projects — ideas built to:
🔹 Drive meaningful impact
🔹 Encourage cross-team collaboration
🔹 Inspire leadership growth
🔹 Prepare our network for the road ahead
