Lauren began her journey with St. Joseph’s in January 2010. Over the years, she has embraced a variety of roles—Primary Counselor, Family Counselor, Senior Counselor and now Team Lead—each one reflecting her dedication and growth.

🌟 St. Joseph’s at the Northern Tier Providers Coalition Conference 🌟

We’re proud to share that several dedicated team members from St. Joseph’s and Citizen Advocates recently represented our organizations at the Northern Tier Providers Coalition Conference in Lake Placid!

Over two inspiring days, our staff engaged in meaningful conversations, exchanged innovative ideas and strengthened partnerships with fellow behavioral health professionals from across Upstate New York. This event was a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together to advance prevention, treatment, recovery and harm reduction efforts in our communities.

Robin Gay and Lori Burke, Directors of Training and Development, led the session “Boundaries in Behavioral Health,” offering practical tools and strategies to help professionals maintain healthy boundaries and support well-being, both personally and professionally.

The Northern Tier Providers Coalition brings together a diverse network of behavioral health agencies across Essex, Clinton, Franklin, Hamilton, Lewis, Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties, as well as the Akwesasne Territory—fostering collaboration, advocacy and shared learning.

St. Joseph’s is proud to once again receive a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for our inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment services — a standard we’ve maintained since 2002.

We’re equally proud to have helped guide Citizen Advocates through its first-ever CARF accreditation for its Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC). Together, we’re improving care across our network and reinforcing our commitment to quality, consistency and collaboration.

Residents from North Country Freedom Homes recently hiked up Mt. Arab, soaking in the breathtaking views from the 2,533-foot summit! The vibrant fall foliage painted the landscape in brilliant shades of red, orange and gold — a perfect backdrop for connection, reflection and fresh mountain air. 🌄🍂
