We’re excited to share that we recently received $5,500 in grants from Walmart stores on Bee Ridge, Cattleman, and Tamiami Trail to help us build brighter futures for children in foster care in our community.

We were honored to present at this year’s Statewide Behavioral Health Conference (BHCon) in Orlando! With over 1,700 attendees, including executive leaders, clinicians, policy makers, researchers, and direct service professionals, BHCon continues to be one of the largest and most influential behavioral health conferences in the Southeast.

Our presentation focused on advancing trauma-focused, evidence-based screening and assessment for children involved in the child welfare system. These children have complex needs, and we believe that leading with compassion, innovation, and science is essential to helping them heal and thrive.

We’re proud to be part of a behavioral health community that’s committed to transforming systems of care through trauma-informed practices and improving outcomes for those who need it most.

We're grateful for the opportunity to attend the two-day Bal-A-Vis-X Training with community partners such as Building Beyond Basics, hosted by our friends at All Star Children's Foundation!
This specialized training focused on balance, auditory, and visual exercises for brain/body integration. By implementing structured, rhythmic activities, children who have experienced trauma can:
🌟Regulate their nervous system
🌟Improve body awareness
🌟Strengthen focus & attention
🌟Enhance balance & coordination
🌟Build confidence through success
We look forward to implementing this training at The Gathering and Parents' Night Out!

Five years of milestones, big and small. From the joy of Splash Bash to the warmth of the Holiday Shoppe, each event has brought comfort, connection, and a sense of belonging to children and families on our campus.

These moments matter—because for many of the kids we serve, they’re firsts. First time picking out a holiday gift for someone they love. First time celebrating their birthday with a birthday cake and the happy birthday song. First time feeling truly celebrated for just being them. Thank you for helping make these memories possible.

"I love showing up here every week." That’s what one of the kids shared about coming to therapy at All Star—and to us, it’s the highest compliment.

It means they feel safe. Seen. Supported.
It means healing isn’t just happening—it’s something they look forward to.

This is the power of trauma-informed care. 💛

One of our key goals in therapy is helping children learn to regulate their bodies, especially during moments of extreme distress. This week, All Star was proud to host a specialized training in Bal-A-Vis-X—a program that focuses on balance, auditory, and visual integration to support the coordination of left and right brain function.

These rhythmic, body-based movements are powerful tools that help children develop self-regulation, body awareness, and a sense of calm. A diverse group of professionals—including mental health clinicians, occupational therapists, case managers, mentors, and family support workers from across our community—came together to learn these innovative techniques. With these new skills, they are now even better equipped to support the children and youth they serve every day.
