All Star Children's Foundation Together, we're building brighter futures for children in foster care through innovation, science, and compassion.

Healing doesn’t happen in a single moment. It happens through relationships built over time.

In Episode 6 of Inside All Star, Peter Mutabazi explores the power of long-term connections and why consistent, caring adults can make all the difference for a child in foster care.

At All Star Children’s Foundation, we believe every child deserves more than a safe place to stay. They deserve people who show up, stay connected, and help them believe in their future.

Watch Episode 6 of Inside All Star and see how relationships can help change a child’s story.

Episode 5 of Inside All Star shares something every child in foster care deserves: the chance to safely reconnect, heal, and move forward with family.

Reunification is at the heart of foster care. It takes patience, support, trust, and a community willing to walk alongside children and parents through incredibly difficult moments.

At All Star Children’s Foundation, we believe healing happens when families are given the tools, support, and relationships needed to create lasting stability. Through trauma informed care, birth family engagement, mental health services, and collaboration, we work to help families move toward brighter futures together.

Thank you to Foster Dad Flipper for helping shine a light on stories like these during National Foster Care Month.

Day 1 of the ARC (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency) Framework Learning Collaborative is underway. We’re proud to bring together partners from across our community, including The Florida Center for Early Childhood, Family Initiative, Inc., Harbor58, and Easterseals , as we continue strengthening trauma-informed care for children and families in our community.

Real change happens when organizations come together to learn, collaborate, and build better systems of support for children in foster care and beyond. 💫

Special thanks to the Bishop-Parker Foundation for helping us advance trauma-informed work in our community!

Episode 4 of Inside All Star with Peter Mutabazi takes a closer look at the essential services that help children and families in foster care begin to heal.

At All Star Children’s Foundation, support goes far beyond a safe place to stay. Through trauma-informed mental health care, assessments, case management, caregiver support, and multidisciplinary services, we work to help children feel seen, understood, and connected to the care they need to move forward.

Healing happens through relationships, stability, and access to the right support at the right time.

Follow along with Inside All Star throughout National Foster Care Month as we continue sharing what it truly takes to build brighter futures for children in foster care.

Episode 3 of Inside All Star takes you inside All Star Children’s Foundation’s Campus of Hope & Healing. 💙

Joined by foster care advocate Peter Mutabazi, also known as Foster Dad Flipper, we’re giving a closer look at the spaces where children in foster care are met with safety, connection, and trauma-informed support.

From our foster homes to our mental health treatment and assessment center, and park-like atmosphere, every part of this campus was built to help children feel seen, supported, and cared for as they heal.

This is what hope and healing can look like in foster care.

Episode 2 of Inside All Star with Peter Mutabazi 💙

When Graci and Dennis McGillicuddy founded All Star Children’s Foundation, the goal was clear: help break the intergenerational cycle of abuse and neglect by making sure children in foster care receive the support they need as early as possible.

Too often, children enter foster care carrying deep trauma without access to the services that can help them heal. At All Star, we believe early intervention, trauma informed care, and compassionate support can change the trajectory of a child’s life.

Because healing cannot wait. And every child deserves the chance to feel safe, supported, and hopeful for the future.

A huge thank you to American Legion Post 30 for bringing so much joy to our campus children with the donation of 10 ride-on toys. Moments like these give kids the chance to simply be kids, creating laughter, play, and bright memories along the way. 🩵

Grateful to be part of an inspiring gathering at the Florida State University for the annual Florida Institute for Child Welfare conference in Tallahassee. The focus on prevention in practice is key to building safer, stronger futures for children and families.

It was incredible to see such a strong turnout from community partners across Circuit 12, all coming together to engage in innovative, collaborative work that truly makes a difference.

We're energized by the strong emphasis on research and support for the child welfare workforce, helping professionals do their best work and thrive in the field. Excited to see how this continued partnership across our state will strengthen outcomes for children and families across our communities.

This National Foster Care Month, we’re honored to welcome foster care advocate Peter Mutabazi Foster Dad, also known as , to All Star Children’s Foundation.

After serving as the keynote speaker at our Twinkle Ball gala last November, Peter spent time on our Campus of Hope & Healing to learn more about how we support children and families in foster care through trauma-informed care, compassion, and connection.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share these conversations and give a deeper look inside the work happening every day to help children heal, grow, and feel safe.

Excited to share that we’ve completed another year of the Train-the-Trainer certification for Ukeru!

Ukeru is a trauma-informed de-escalation approach that prioritizes client safety while preserving dignity and positive relationships. Its hands-off philosophy reinforces the importance of connection, understanding, and compassionate care in every interaction.

Grateful for the opportunity to bring this approach forward and continue creating safer, more supportive environments for those we serve.

Foster care is changing.

More than 390,000 children are in foster care in the U.S. today, and there are not enough foster families or support for those who step forward.

But here in Sarasota and across the country, there is a shift happening.
Toward care that centers healing.
Toward systems that support foster parents, not just rely on them.
Toward a future where children are truly seen and understood.

At All Star Children’s Foundation, we are building that kind of foster care every day.

This National Foster Care Month, be part of the change.
