If you use any of these products donāt fear ! Iāll give a brief explanation as to why it makes me sad but if you have any questions or are seeking an alternative please message me and Iāll be happy to help!
1. A bar of soap on the face thatās meant for body use, most often Iāve heard of Dove . I understand the appeal but this is too stripping (drying) and while it might appear itās working momentarily it can cause issues like sensitivity , severe dryness, excess oil production, breakouts , etc .
2. St Ives scrub is very infamous in the skincare industry , I still hear clients use it. Iām not a fan of face scrubs in general because I donāt think itās the most effective way to exfoliate for most skin types however apricot/ walnut scrubs can be especially damaging by creating micro tears in your skin and causing more damage like dark spots and premature aging in later years .
3. Beef Tallow is the hottest trend right now. Not everything natural means is better. Skincare products must be properly formulated to pe*****te your skin . In this case not only does this product have an unpleasant smell , it also just sits on top of the skin giving the illusion itās moisturizing but the effect is gone once you remove it on top of that it is a major pore clogger!
4. Proactive used to be the IT brand when it came to treating acne , many of us experience how drying and irritating it was . On top of that it would only clear the acne temporarily or not at all. There are much better alternatives now days!
5. Mary Kay or brands like it . The O. G. Influencers .. outdated , ineffective , youāre more likely to be using a product thatās not right for your skin type.
6. Olay one of my most hated drugstore brands . I see a lot of ladies that use this brand . No results and some of their products are getting expensive! Youāre better off spending that money on a facial .
Anyways , this is just my opinion but I know a lot of experts in the industry share it . Again if you would like me to elaborate or find you an alternative message me!
