Fellow mermaids & mermen, welcome to the home of Emily Julia Yoga!
ABOUT THE PRACTICE Emily has found a forever love in teaching children’s yoga. She specializes in creating targeted programs to allow children to explore their own energy, while finding balance and growth. Emily has partnered with local entrepreneur, Leah Goodman (owner and founder of SUP East Coast Style) to offer creative programming in movement and self-discovery. After all, it was during her first downward dog on the paddle board, that Emily realized the true magic of the ocean. With this new love of teaching on land and sea, Emily created the brand, "Not Your Average Mermaid".
ABOUT
Emily Generazzo is the creator and founder of Emily Julia Yoga. Her mission is to provide a place for people of all ages to feel connected and empowered on their journey of self-discovery. After receiving her first 200-hour RYT certification from Mantra Yoga Studio, in 2016, she began teaching and realized that yoga held the key to unlocking her true purpose in life, empowering those around her. During her second teacher training at Sanctuary Center for Yoga and Healing, she was given the gift of travel and expansion in India and it was there that she learned about the appreciation of culture and identity. Upon returning home, Emily continued trainings and gradually began the process of looking through a new lens began to develop her practice. She has created relationships with individuals who started as her teachers and later became mentors. By day, Emily is pursuing her Master's degree at Lesley University, in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. She gives of her time by honoring all individuals who take her classes on traditional yoga mats, or those who prefer to ride the waves on paddle boards and everything in between. It is Emily’s hope to one day have her own holistic healing center, for children and adults to participate in yoga workshops, classes, healing sessions and creative art.
