At Whisk & Words, we combine speech therapy + cooking for a hands-on experience kids are excited to attend.

Hi everyone! ☀️

As Speech-Language Pathologists, one of the biggest things we see is that children make the most meaningful progress when they’re able to use their communication skills in real-life situations—not just practice them in isolation.

That’s the idea behind functional therapy—and why it’s so beneficial.

When skills are practiced in everyday, hands-on activities, children are more likely to:
• Understand when and how to use their language
• Carry over skills into home, school, and social settings
• Stay engaged and motivated to participate
• Build confidence communicating with others

During the summer, many kids don’t have access to school-based speech services, and they also miss out on those structured opportunities to practice communication throughout the day.

That’s why we created Whisk & Words Summer Camp 🍓🧁

We’ve designed it to give kids a fun, supportive space to build speech and language skills in a functional, real-world environment—through activities like cooking, where they’re naturally following directions, problem-solving, and interacting with peers.

Because when kids practice skills in meaningful ways… that’s when it really sticks. 💛

We’re so excited to introduce our Whisk & Words Summer Camp—a fun and engaging experience where kids can build communication skills through hands-on cooking activities!

Led by a certified speech-language pathologists, our camp blends speech, language, and social skill development with interactive, play-based learning in the kitchen.
