Lymphedema is the abnormal accumulation of lymphatic fluid in the tissue spaces that results in swelling. Most commonly in the arm or leg and is asymmetrical in nature, and occasionally in the trunk, neck, face and other regions of the body. Manual Lymphatic Drainage
(MLD) a manual technique to
mobilize fluid in the lymph
system that is very light
and gentle.
