🎄✨ Christmas in July at Grand Living! ✨🎄

Balanced Therapy & Wellness was honored to participate in the Christmas in July event at Grand Living! Together with this wonderful community, over $10,000 was raised to support elderly communities.

Thank you to everyone who made this event such a success and for allowing us to be a part of something so meaningful. We love giving back and being involved in events that bring joy and support to our seniors!

We are TEAM LISA🧡

Lisa is one of our Balanced Therapy and Wellness therapist at Grand Living at Lakewood Ranch. In July she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia with a very poor prognosis. A bone marrow transplant is the only way that she can survive this cancer. Lisa is a wife, mom to Courtney (15) and Reagan (10), former professional ice skater and coach, friend, and an amazing therapist. We received news that Lisa has a match for her bone marrow transplant and that if all goes well, the transplant will take place after Thanksgiving. This past week our therapy team, Grand Living staff, and Grand Living residents came together to raise money for her family, wear our Team Lisa shirts, and show her love and support in preparation of her transplant journey.

We love and support you Lisa Henderson.
We are in this battle together. 🧡

Grand Living at Wellen Park- Black Tie Event! 🖤🤍

We are so thankful for our partnership with Grand Living and expanding our business further south into Venice, Florida! Greg and Brittany were invited to a formal event today to meet all the new residents that are moving into the Grand Living at Wellen Park facility. We are so exciting for the GRAND opening which will be happening soon! 🎉

If you haven’t scheduled your tour to see this beautiful masterpiece of a building, you better do it soon before they are all filled up with a wait list!

Bucket List: Swing a golf club again
CHECK ✔️ ✔️✔️

Brittany Tallhamer Solly, one of our therapist started a bucket list for her people with Parkinson’s Disease. On Friday, they showed up at Legacy golf course and they had an amazing time swinging the golf club again! Special thank you to Zack Solly and Randy Tallhamer for assisting and being such a huge part of our success!

Doug’s response: After being diagnosed 15 years ago with Parkinson’s disease, he found himself staying at home more and avoiding the activities he once loved. He told us that “this was the best day I’ve had in years. I haven’t swung a club in 8 years and today brought back so many memories”.

Nell’s response: “I’m so happy and proud of myself”. After calling her today she said “I’m still on cloud 9 after our golf event on Friday”.

Your diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease doesn’t define you- your strength and courage does! We are planning our next bucket list golfing and museum trips.. and we are so excited as a company to be able to provide our PWP with this experience♥️

The award program recognizes the collective actions of individuals, institutions, and programs that have made an extraordinary impact in the Manatee County healthcare community and whose acts reflect dedication to excellence in their area of expertise beyond the scope of their profession.

Thank you Brittany for positively impacting so many lives in Manatee and Sarasota County! We want to thank all of our senior living patients, our professional partners, and our community patients for the nomination and for always supporting our therapy team and our company throughout the state of Florida.

Also, a special thank you to Manatee Chamber of Commerce for recognizing the healthcare providers in our community that are going beyond the scope of their profession to help others succeed. We appreciate all that you do for our community!
