In the world of nervous system regulation, we call these "Glimmers."

While triggers send our bodies into fight or flight, glimmers are small cues of safety that tell our brain, "You're okay. You're here. You're safe."

They aren't big, life-changing events. They are micro-moments:

We often put so much pressure on ourselves to just move on. We think if we aren't over it by a certain timeline, we’re failing at our healing.

But the truth is, some things stay with us. Healing isn't about erasing the past or forgetting the struggle… it’s about integration. It’s about building a nervous system and a heart that are strong enough to hold your history without being overwhelmed by it.

Grace looks like forgiving yourself on the days you feel stuck, honoring your body's need for rest without guilt and reclaiming the parts of yourself you thought were lost.
