🇺🇸 Breakfast with the Brave! 🇺🇸 WOW… what a morning!! This was by far our largest Heroes Breakfast yet, and we’re still taking it all in.

The room was full, the energy was high, and the sense of camaraderie was truly special.

We are grateful, humbled, and honored to serve so many incredible heroes in our community.

Kudos to Deborah and Chef JJ for helping prepare this mornings breakfast…
🥚 130 eggs served
🥓 20 lbs of bacon & sausage
☕ 112 cups of coffee poured
😊 And countless smiles, stories, and moments shared

We were honored to welcome our guest speakers Danielle Vieira and Courtney Jones (a fellow veteran) with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital.

They shared valuable insight into the rehabilitation services available to veterans, how they partner with the VA, and the many ways they continue to support those who have served.

A special highlight of the morning was recognizing our Veteran of the Month, Colonel Frederick H. Thibault. 🇺🇸

Fred’s 32-year Army career, including leadership roles in Special Forces and Airborne units, is nothing short of remarkable.

But what makes his story even more special is what he did beyond the military. Fred became a teacher and JROTC instructor mentoring young leaders right here in Sarasota.

Fred, thank you for your service, your leadership, and the lasting impact you’ve made on so many lives.

To every veteran who joined us this morning — thank you!

These breakfasts are just a small way for us to give back to those who have given so much.

We’re already looking forward to the next one. See you in May! 🇺🇸

Your hands are not always weak because of age or muscle loss.
Often, they weaken because the shoulder is not centered and stable.

When one shoulder sits lower or rotates forward, it can change the space where nerves and blood vessels travel from the neck into the arm.

That can show up as grip weakness, thumb tension, triceps fatigue, shoulder instability, and reduced hand precision.

The hand is often the symptom, not the source.

Many people try shoulder exercises, but shoulder position is not something you consciously hold all day.

If those inputs are off, the brain keeps returning the shoulder to the same faulty pattern.

That is why ten minutes of exercise may help temporarily, but the other 23 hours and 50 minutes the body drifts back to its default settings.

To create lasting change, you need to improve the signals driving posture, not just strengthen muscles.

Therapeutic insoles may help by changing sensory input from the feet. Since the feet influence pelvis position, center of mass, and the kinetic chain upward, better input from the ground can help the brain organize shoulder balance more efficiently.
