As important as compliance and accurate, efficient electronic medical records (EMR) are, it’s the people behind the systems who are exceptional and our champions of success. Especially when “the people” are as multi-talented as Melinda Marton!
Melinda may be moving out of state this month, but she will forever remain part of the heart of Take Care. ❤️ Her technical expertise, passion for problem-solving, impeccable office decorating skills for birthdays, and can-do attitude as the ultimate team player will be sorely missed around the Sarasota office.
While she leaves behind big shoes to fill, we are fortunate that Melanie Miller - 💻 complete with her own skills and stylish shoes! 👠 - has joined us as EMR Coordinator.
Please join us in wishing Melinda all the best in Ohio and welcoming Melanie to Take Care!

Today marks another very special day! As detailed by our creative Clinical Director Diane Michael, RN, here’s why!
Sue Wise was born May 8th.
Today is her birthday!
She’s originally from a little town in Michigan and moved to Florida with her husband, Carl, and three little girls, Courtney, Erika & Whitney.
She opened Take Care in 1995.
She is a nurse.
A nurse with a better idea.
A nurse with a plan.
A nurse with a “can do” attitude.
A nurse who is a self-proclaimed “control freak”.
A nurse who has a memory like an elephant.
A nurse who has boundless energy.
A nurse who built a company from a passion and turned it into what it is today, almost 30 years later.
A nurse who knows every client.
A nurse who knows every caregiver.
A nurse who appreciates.
A nurse who gives back.
A nurse who loves flowers.
Happy birthday, Sue!! ❤

We value every opportunity to show our appreciation for the critical role nurses play in each client’s life and Take Care’s support of the nursing profession. We have the utmost respect and admiration for all caregivers and nurses, especially those who choose to participate in meaningful work as part of our team. ❤️
As we gear up for our Nurses Week & 30th Anniversary celebration this Friday, this morning’s segment was extra sweet. 🎂 ABC 7’s own Linda Carson celebrates her 30th anniversary with the station this May, too!

Susanne’s practice as a Registered Nurse began in Michigan. She attended Western Michigan University and worked at Bronson Methodist Hospital. In 1982, she relocated to Sarasota with her family. Ten years later, she obtained a Master of Business Administration through Nova Southeastern University. After having worked in the home health care field for thirteen years in various positions, she opened Take Care in 1995.
Her nursing career was inspired in part by her own mother, Ruth Smith Eppelheimer, who was also a Registered Nurse. Susanne’s father, who was a farmer in a small community in Michigan, instilled the excitement of business and gave her the vision for entrepreneurial skills, stamina, and passion at an early age. Just as her family inspired her, she continues to inspire members of our community as a leader in nursing, an entrepreneur, bringing jobs to our local community while providing the local older adult population with the compassion and quality of care they deserve.
Moreover, her two daughters, Courtney Wise Snyder, MSG, CMC, and Erika Wise Borland, MA, have been working alongside her at Take Care since 2008. Together, they ensure a continuity of character and consistency of values, which is the stabilizing force that propels the creativity and innovation needed to move Take Care forward. Their business ethics and the value of relationships combine to make a caring, dependable, and trustworthy service. Furthermore, the dedicated Take Care team works collectively to ensure the efficacy and standards of home health care and RN geriatric care management are upheld to the highest degree—everyone deserves the best in care.
Take Care's mission is to provide unwavering commitment and excellence in private duty home health care and RN geriatric care management that clients recommend to family and friends, physicians prefer, and where employees are proud to work.
