Sarasota has a number of great restaurants as well as family-owned eateries to choose from. Our lunch and dinner outings are a popular favorite on our Engagement Plus Calendar.

Residents from Brookdale Palmer Ranch are excited about their new project: an indoor herb garden, which was recently put together by
two of our residents, Peter and Ken.

After painting some homemade pots, residents were anxious to plant a variety of herbs that they hope to utilize for their cooking recipes.

Residents at Brookdale Palmer Ranch meet our new pet therapy canine, Mr. Wyatt.

He is a 3-year-old Labrador Retriever recently adopted by his owner, who went through the program to have him certified for pet therapy visitation.

We look forward to having him in our facility, bringing smiles to all of our residents.

It was a Brookdale Beach Ball Bonanza this past Friday during our weekly Friday Happy Hour Social Dance Party at Palmer Ranch.

In case you haven't heard, Sarasota, FL is having a heat wave, so the Resident Engagement Team decided to bring the beach to our residents.

There was dancing and singing to the tunes of the Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffett, and other classics, all followed by fresh Florida watermelon and frozen drinks.

The Men's Group at Brookdale Palmer Ranch chose a popular beach setting restaurant located out on Longboat Key for their monthly lunch outing. Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant is a rustic seafood spot located out on Longboat Key Beach. The setting is an early 1900s beach house with a gorgeous view of The Gulf and features, none other than awesome seafood!!

Brookdale Palmer Ranch resident and nature lover, Betty B., recently asked if she could add a decorative birdhouse for residents, staff, and family members to enjoy while socializing out in front of our community.

After receiving kudos for a great suggestion, she went right to the store and found a beautiful bird feeder to display.

The residents at Brookdale Palmer Ranch decided they wanted a pizza party, but not just any pizza party; they wanted to make their own personal pizza. So staff made plans for them to have a day out to shop for the ingredients they all wanted and the next day it was all about making their own personal pizza.

The residents from Brookdale Palmer Ranch enjoyed an afternoon with some very special guests who brought their time and talent to showcase a Painting With A Twist Program.

Some of our residents have never attempted art in any capacity and were quite pleased with the outcome. Other residents were ready to show off their artistic talent. Great job everyone and a big thank you to our guests for taking the time during their vacation to FL to assist our residents with this project.
