Hi everyone! I’ve missed you all! It’s been a long two years since I’ve worked and almost three years since this particular journey with my health began. I won’t lie-it’s been terrifying and ugly-only with incredible support from my family, a few close friends, and three incredible doctors have I pulled through. I’ve seen more doctors in the past few years than I care to count-probably close to twenty when I think about it-specialists in every field than you can imagine because no one knew what was wrong or what to do with me. I think I’ve seen both the best and worst that western medicine has to offer-incredibly caring doctors who have stayed with me all the way to the cold and clinical who made incorrect assumptions and did much harm.
The symptoms were many but largely neurological and affecting my brain and nervous system. The cause was all toxin based and comes down to heavy metal toxicity, mold, and bartonellla (an infection from a cat bite).
I’ve been detoxing these infections now for over a year and I’m still a work in progress. And I couldn’t be more thrilled to be here now-writing this post-and able to see patients again. I’d like to think I’ve come through this journey with a much greater understanding of the environmental toxins, how they affect us, how to cleanse them from the body, and more than that-how to prevent it from happening in the first place. Moreover, I feel a greater depth of compassion for other’s pain-and a stronger desire than ever to help patients in whatever way I can.
I’ve been honored to join the practice of Mark Sylvester, MD and Richard Schulman, PhD. They have been with me all of the way on this journey and are incredible doctors and great friends. I love the office, it’s a beautiful space with great energy and we are all like minded practitioners. I’m sorry this post is so long- and I would love to hear from all of you with an update on how you are-send me a message!
