When’s the last time you allowed yourself to connect to your body? When did you last give yourself permission to find release or send it love?

Many times, the first step to connecting deeper to yourself for healing or drawing awareness, is through the physical body. As humans we respond well to safe physical touch to elicit tactile signals.
We just added a few more session times to accommodate those who want a session before Thanksgiving week. These are the last 3 Saturday slots available until December 18th!

✨Saturday morning mantra for you: “I am worthy of healing and I have access to support”✨

Restorative healing has so many different approaches, so it’s essential to find what resonates with you.

If a specific practice of restorative healing doesn’t align with you and your intentions, then give yourself the opportunity to explore other ways. There is no one size fits all method and may even be a combination of multiple supportive practices.

Very rarely do we see one breathing exercise or one yoga style or one type of massage or one meditation be enough to fully support the inner work that’s involved in healing yourself.

It’s also important to recognize that you don’t have to figure it out alone. When working with someone through your restorative healing journey, be sure you feel safe, that you maintain autonomy, and that the practitioner aligns with you as a whole.

I am beyond excited to bring this series back to Bhavana Yoga Studio], but this time as a blend of Yin + Restorative Yoga.

Both styles blended together encourages mindful stretches with restful postures as you’re guided through the Chakra system. You’ll also experience how the Chinese Meridian system and the Chakra system can work together for a healing and supportive environment.

Each class, students will receive a takeaway reminder item of the chakras from that day and those that purchase the entire series will get a little something extra 💗

Second Saturday of the month starting November 13th from 4:00-5:30pm.

Experience the entire series for $125 (all 5 classes) or pay by the class $35, if there’s room.

Restorative practices start with your breath.

We had a deeply intentional pranayama centered Gentle yoga class this morning and my hope is that it follows these students off their mat and into their day, even the weekend, and then take bits of that into their day-to-day routine.

If you’re unsure how or where to start with bringing a restorative practice into your life, know that you can simply start with your breath.

No rush. No pressures. No ‘right’ way. Just you and your breath.

If you’re looking for a little more guidance or a great community setting to practice, catch me on the mat next week

Sunday is usually busy with groceries, meal prep, exercising, studying, teaching, and momming of course.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But now my Mondays are a little more free and it’s a beautiful thing for me and my family because we can take a slower approach to our Sunday.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I did still have a nice sweat sesh for ’s round 2, but a short 24-min cardio.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Looking forward to a full day with my family tomorrow.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My husband and I have always enjoyed cruising around town when we needed time away from the day-to-day routine or just simply a break.

Cranking up the music, windows down (although we will always prefer motorcycles to cars and ocean scents without red tide… 😬)

Most of the time we don’t even talk. Just music or silence. A safe space to breathe, no expectations or pressures, nothing to “solve”.

Anyone else enjoy going for a drive just to clear your head?

Restful sleep is vital for your body’s ability to reset, stay healthy, and focus.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Restorative bodywork and massage encourages the body to release stress, but it also leads the body to experience more restful sleep and decreases fatigue. The National Sleep Foundation reports that massage does this by triggering the release of serotonin (a neurotransmitter that induces calm feelings).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Also, by helping you manage your pain, tension, headaches, anxiety, etc, this improves your body’s ability to find that restful sleep state, thus improving your overall quality of life. ☀️
