🔵 How would your clients describe you or your sessions?
My clients would describe my sessions as fun, educational, and challenging. I love to educate my clients on the WHY!
🔵 What is your favorite hobby?
It’s hard to answer with just one! I love to read, dance, and watch football!
🔵 What qualities do you think make a quality personal trainer?
I think one of the best traits of a great trainer is someone with the heart of a teacher. We all want to help people but how do you go about helping someone? Everybody goes through so much in their day-to-day life, that it’s important to give people grace and hold them accountable, when necessary. I also believe it’s so important to teach clients how to do the things we do in session, so they feel confident going into the gym between sessions.
🔵 What do you do for your fitness?
For my training, I love lifting weights, doing yoga, and going on walks. It’s so important to do the things you love instead of forcing yourself to do something you dislike. I have made so much more progress by doing what I love and it makes it more sustainable!
🔵 What do you listen to while exercising, if anything?
I am a big podcast person so I listen to New Heights, Dave Ramsey, or any true crime podcasts!
🔵 Are there essential exercises you recommend?
To me, it’s not as much about the exercise but the movement pattern. It is so important to train for life, so, I make sure my clients always have a hinge, squat, push, pull, reach, carry, and rotating movement in their workouts. Movement needs to be functional!
🔵 Your motto, or something you often say to encourage people?
My motto is Act or Accept. You have 2 choices in every single thing you do and it is up to YOU how you live your life!
