Here are key signs to watch for and when to consider screening.
Common signs & symptoms:
• Abnormal vaginal bleeding
• Unusual vaginal discharge (especially with a foul smell)
• Pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic region
• Vaginal bleeding after sexual activity
Screening overview (U.S.):
✅ 21–29: Pap test every 3 years
✅ 30–65: HPV test every 5 years (or Pap every 3 years / co-test every 5 years)
