HAPPY NEW YEAR!🥳
You are looking at a pork loin with it still encased with some fascia. Why would it need fascia? What is fascia? Holy cow, that fascia was very hard to cut through. Did you know? Fascia is a connective tissue it encase the whole body head from toe even if you are human or an animal, mammal, etc. We need fascia to keep our structure together from individual cells to entire organs, muscles, bones, nerves, and blood vessels, providing support, separation, structure, and allowing smooth movement by reducing friction. It forms layers (superficial, deep, visceral) that bind muscles to each other, connect muscle to skin, and wrap organs, creating a body-wide network that influences posture, circulation, sensation, and mechanics.
What contributes to tight fascia? Repetitive movement (same moves you do daily in & out like a robot) keeps making the fascia tighter and can cause restrictions by smothering the muscle like a vice which eventually causes pain and less range of motion. What can help? When you recieve myofascial release it helps reduce this tension and makes the fascia more pliable giving you back that range of motion that was stollen from you.
I would be happy to help you with this issue! Please feel free to reach out to book a myofascial release appointment at (941) 315-6898 or email lhauer81@gmail.com.
