Introducing something I've never officially announced before: Trauma Healing Intensives.

If you've been carrying a heavy weight for a long time but can't commit to a weekly therapy schedule, this was designed for you.

Sometimes you don't need 12 weeks of slowly working up to something. Sometimes you're ready to go deep...right now.

Here's what's available:

2-Hour Trauma Healing Shift
Perfect for a targeted breakthrough around one specific memory, belief, or stuck pattern. We'll move through grounding, deep EMDR or somatic processing, and a full integration before you leave.

3-Hour Deep Trauma Reset
Ready to clear a heavier layer and really reconnect to yourself? This extended session allows us to work through multiple memories or patterns, weave in mindfulness and gentle movement if that feels right, and make sure you're fully integrated before we close.

Both options are available in-person in Lakewood Ranch or virtually so no matter where you are in Florida or Connecticut, this is accessible to you.

This is especially powerful for:
Healthcare workers & nurses
First responders
Therapists & counselors
Veterinarians & medical professionals
Just about anyone who's used to holding it together for everyone else and is finally ready to do something for themselves.

You don't have to white-knuckle through another month. One session can shift a lot.

Ready to learn more or book? Head to the link in my bio or visit megyounglcsw.com to request an appointment.

EMDR 101 (free 30‑min Zoom): what it is, what it isn’t, and what to expect in a session March 18 at 12:30pm Eastern.

If you’ve been curious about EMDR—or you’ve heard a lot of opinions and want the real, grounded version—come join me for a short, clear overview with practical info so you can decide if it may be right for you.

We’ll cover:
- What EMDR is (and how it helps the brain and nervous system process stuck experiences)
- What EMDR isn’t (myths, misconceptions, and what you stay in control of)
- What happens in a typical EMDR session (including pacing and preparation)
- Who it can be helpful for
- When we slow down

You’ll also get a simple PDF handout to keep.

Comment EMDR and I’ll send the details, or DM me and I’ll share the link.

Today, Valentine's Day, may be a beautiful day for you or a very difficult one, depending on your circumstances. It's not just about romantic connection. Think about who you want to connect with today and do so. You don't have to say happy Valentine's Day if you don't want. Just connect.

If you work in a high-stress helping profession—first responder, healthcare provider, therapist, veterinarian, or similar—you may notice that stress doesn’t always turn off when the day ends. Chronic stress and anxiety often have deeper nervous-system roots, especially after repeated exposure to difficult experiences.

In this video, I explain how EMDR therapy can help the brain process stored stress and reduce anxiety, panic symptoms, and feeling constantly on edge. If you’re in the Sarasota or Lakewood Ranch area and want to learn more, I’ve also written a fuller article linked in the comments.
