Physician Care Clinical Research

Physician Care Clinical Research We are a multi-specialty, independent, dedicated research facility with a focus on Women's Health.

Physician Care Clinical Research is a multi-specialty, independent, dedicated research facility with an emphasis on women’s health care. In 2004, we began conducting Phase II, III and IV pharmaceutical and device clinical trials for major national and international pharmaceutical companies. All clinical trials conducted at our center are conducted in strict accordance with FDA guidelines. We perform clinical trials under strict adherence to ICH-GCP, FDA GCP, dedicated to a high level of protocol compliance and responsive to critical communication between sponsor, site, IRB, study personnel, and related trial entities. With our experience, communication is the foundation of our entire operation. We firmly believe in transparency in communication with our research participants. It is about reinforcing the trust they place in us and we honor that trust. In that spirit of partnership, our team takes on the responsibility of being the sole point of contact, relaying information on a continuous basis through scheduled study visits, teleconferences, emails, and periodic updates. Our patient's safety is a prime concern - we take all necessary precautions ensuring medications or treatments do not conflict with research protocols. Physician Care Clinical Research partners with leading physicians in Sarasota and Manatee County who are equally committed to providing outstanding patient care. We provide an opportunity for qualifying individuals to safely participate in research that may lead to more effective, life-enhancing medical treatments worldwide. Our clinical trials present patients with not only access to new treatment options, they also receive expert medical care by some of Sarasota and Manatee County's most awarded and highly recognized medical professionals, along with an opportunity to help society and advance science. All study-related visits and procedures are provided at no expense to our study patients. In addition, study participants may be compensated for time and travel.

Dr. Swor is now MIGS Board Certified

What is a MIGS certification, anyway?

Candidates for the focused practice designation in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) must have primary certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology from The American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and must be meeting the ABOG MOC program requirements if they hold a time-limited certificate. Additional eligibility criteria include:
* Candidates must meet the requirement of a minimum of three years of clinical practice with a focus in MIGS at the time of application for the MIGS exam. Those Diplomates who have completed 24 months in a MIGS fellowship program may count the length of their fellowship program towards the focused practice requirement.
* Candidates must have completed a minimum of 20 American Medical Association Category 1 continuing medical education (CME) in MIGS or in gynecologic subspecialty (e.g., Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and Gynecologic Oncology) in the last three years.
* Candidates must submit a 12-month case log documenting a practice that demonstrates sufficient depth and breadth of focused practice in MIGS. The case log must document evidence of a minimum of 100 minimally invasive gynecologic surgery procedures in patients with benign and complex gynecologic conditions as the primary surgeon. Candidates must have cases in more than one category of the case log meeting the minimum number of cases for those categories. Additionally, the cases must be ones in which the candidate was the primary surgeon and cannot include cases performed during fellowship.
* Candidates must have an active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any and all states or territories of the United States or Province of Can ada in which the candidate holds a current medical license.
* Candidates must have unrestricted hospital (or surgical center) privileges for a focused practice designation in MIGS.
* Candidates must pass a secure, computer-based examination of focused knowledge, judgement, and skills in MIGS. (📸 Dr. Swor in action at Cape Sugical Center, Sarasota, FL)
