Meet Courtenay💌
Founder of SHACK Yoga + Fitness

Hi friends I’m Courtenay, owner of SHACK. My yoga journey began in my early twenties, when I stepped into my first yoga class and felt an instant pull a sense of “this is where I’m meant to be.”

After moving to Sarasota for a job with lululemon, I was surrounded by inspiring yoga & fitness instructors, business owners in the industry, and a goal-setting culture that pushed me to earn my RYT 200 in 2011. A year later, SHACK was born. Starting as a tiny space in the Rosemary District in 2012, growing into our Downtown Sarasota studio in 2018, and expanding again to Waterside Place in 2023. Now, we’re still thriving, sweating, and flowing together in 2025!

My classes, and our studio culture are shaped by my love for Ashtanga, power flow, and powerful, intentional, breath-driven movement. But more than anything, SHACK has always been about community a space where people feel seen, connected, and inspired both on and off the mat.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you’ve been with us since the “little shack” days or just walked through the door for the first time, you are part of our SHACK family.
