Parkinson Research Foundation Purchases Building for Future Permanent Home of Parkinson Place Center for All Movement Disorders
SARASOTA, Fla. (April 9, 2026) — Parkinson Research Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of those with Parkinson’s disease, has announced the purchase of a new building that will become the foundation’s permanent home and a central hub for the programs of Parkinson Place Center for All Movement Disorders.
The relocation of Parkinson Research Foundation and Parkinson Place Center to 3005 S. Tuttle Ave., Sarasota, Florida, will provide additional office space and enable Parkinson Place Center to expand its efforts in addressing the physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of individuals affected by Parkinson’s disease and all movement disorders, as well as their caregivers and families.
“This building represents an important step forward for our organizations and the people we serve,” said Lawrence Hoffheimer, Chairman of Parkinson Research Foundation. “For years, we have worked to build a permanent place where the Parkinson's community can gather, connect, and receive support.”
Over the next year, the foundation will work through the planning and renovation process to transform the property into a welcoming and functional space designed specifically for Parkinson Place Center and offices for the Parkinson Research Foundation.
During the renovation period, Parkinson Research Foundation, Inc., and Parkinson Place Center, Inc. will continue operating at 5969 Cattleridge Blvd., Suite 100, Sarasota, FL 34232.
“This investment ensures that both non-profits will have a permanent home for years to come,” Lawrence Hoffheimer added. “We are grateful to our donors, volunteers, and community partners who made this milestone possible.”
