Big news in women’s health: PCOS has officially been renamed PMOS
Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome. 🌸

Why the change? Because experts worldwide recognized that the term “polycystic o***y syndrome” never fully reflected what this condition truly is.

PMOS is not just about the ovaries. It is a complex hormonal and metabolic condition that can affect:
• Insulin resistance & blood sugar
• Weight & metabolism
• Skin & hair changes
• Ovulation & fertility
• Cardiovascular health
• Mental health and overall wellbeing

Many patients diagnosed with “PCOS” never actually had ovarian cysts at all, which often led to confusion, delayed diagnosis, and misunderstanding of the condition. The updated name aims to better reflect the full-body impact of this syndrome and encourage more comprehensive care. 💕

✨ Advanced gynecologic procedures in a comfortable, private office setting ✨

At Swor Women’s Care, we proudly offer a variety of in-office surgical procedures designed to provide safe, effective care with added convenience and comfort for our patients.

Procedures we offer include:
• LEEP procedures
• Hysteroscopy
• Polypectomy
• Submucous myomectomy
• Endometrial ablations
And more!

We understand that gynecologic procedures can feel intimidating, which is why patient comfort is one of our top priorities. Our practice follows up-to-date standards of care for pain management and anxiety relief, and we also offer nitrous oxide as an option to help patients feel more relaxed during procedures.

Benefits of in-office procedures may include:
✔️ Avoiding the hospital setting
✔️ Lower overall costs compared to hospital-based procedures
✔️ Less time away from work and family
✔️ Personalized care from a team you know and trust

Not every patient or procedure is appropriate for the office setting, but we are always happy to discuss the safest and best option for your individual care. 💕

Maternal Mental Health Week 🤍
What you’re feeling matters.
Mood changes during pregnancy and after birth are common, but that doesn’t mean you have to push through them alone. Hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation, and life changes can all play a role.

You deserve to be heard. You deserve support. And you deserve to feel like yourself again.

If something feels off, trust that and speak up. We’re here for you.
