Back in October, during an alumni volleyball tournament I was certain I took a kick to the back of my right leg…tomorrow I’ll be one month out from a complete Achilles rupture repair surgery (with anchors). It’s been a long 4 months but I am excited to be entering the rehabilitation stage of the injury 🙌🏼 this account has been quiet for a bit but I’m going to breathe some life back into it and share a little here about the process and the techniques I use to strengthen, heal and loosen this baby up! I’ve missed my massage practice so much and am motivated to heal up so I can return to a job I love 💗

So much has happened since completing the massage therapy program at CNW in 2019, it feels like forever ago! I cherish the moments and memories- forever grateful for the experience and connections made through it and during my time there ❤️

Allison Menter, owner of the Saratoga Farmstead and North Eastern Massage graduated from CNW in 2019 with a grateful heart and a dream to chase.

After two years of working and learning amongst an incredible and inspirational group of massage therapists at Bodywork Professionals she has found and obtained the space of her dreams, where her visions will come to life. The Saratoga Farmstead is a Bed and Breakfast in Saratoga Springs where Allison will merge her roots in hospitality with her souls passion for wellness by providing a safe space for collaboration and community, a garden for growth and learning, an oasis for connection with nature and nutrition and of course… the healing and creative arts!

Allison continues to expand her mind and understanding of the soul body connection by practice and study of various modalities including breathwork, yoga, meditation, ecotherapy, nutrition and reiki. Perhaps one day soon you may share in her studies while experiencing her space amongst the gardens and butterflies at the Saratoga Farmstead!

2021 has been quite the year- here’s to new beginnings and my biggest adventure yet… Saratoga Farmstead Wellness inn & NorthEastern Massage!

To all our wonderful friends, we have sold the Saratoga Farmstead B&B to Allison Menter who promises to keep the property as a certified green property and will be offering massage therapy in addition to the other services we have offered. Please visit again, with Allison at the helm. And thanks for 20 years of continued patronage.

Today on our hike I had the urge to lose the kicks and let the feet breathe. As I saw, felt and embraced each and every step here are some thoughts and observations I had..
•this may take some extra time
•but I’m not going to miss a single step
•the cool earth is so refreshing as my body heats up
•the rocks give a fantastic foot massage
•I LOVE the various sounds and feelings that arise as a result of my bare feet hitting the ground
• I really enjoyed that. 10/10 would try again.
• I think I’ll put the kicks back on a skip/ hop/ jaunt my way back down.. it is my favorite part, after all.

Today was one of those days where I utilized this tactic multiple times.
