Even though it’s now November (and snowing!) We couldn’t say goodbye to October without sharing some Halloween fun from our Saratoga and Malta communities!

Residents and staff went all out with creative costumes at both communities, we had willie Nelson, ketchup and mustard, a prisoner, a ghastly ghoul, and more! The celebration at Saratoga featured a whimsical performance by the Dancing Witches from Gem Radio Theatre, who brought plenty of magic and laughter to the day, and Malta residents had a great time decorating and painting pumpkins.
It was a fantastic way to wrap up the Halloween season!

Today, we gathered to honor and thank the veterans who call our Moreau community home. Residents enjoyed a beautiful lunch together and shared stories of their time in service from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and beyond.

We are deeply grateful for their courage, dedication, and the sacrifices they made to protect the freedoms we all cherish.

Our Moreau residents recently took a trip to the Saratoga Automobile Museum and what a fun trip it was!. They enjoyed exploring the exhibits, seeing classic cars up close, and learning more about the rich automotive history right here in Saratoga.

A highlight of the visit was spotting the 1966 Pontiac GTO — the Monkeemobile! It’s even signed by Mike, Micky, and Davy from The Monkees.

A big thank-you to the Saratoga Automobile Museum for the warm welcome and for making our visit such an enjoyable experience!

🎃 Happy Halloween from Home of the Good Shepherd!
All of our communities celebrated Halloween with costumes, parties, and plenty of spooky fun! At our Moreau community, residents enjoyed a great Halloween party today with music, treats, and decorations all around. Yesterday, they also welcomed local children for some early trick-or-treating through the building a highlight for everyone!

Our Saratoga Memory Care community got into the Halloween spirit with some very special guests this week! The Dancing Witches, sponsored by Gem Radio Theatre , stopped by to dance — and our residents loved every minute of i, and even joined in. Later, a wildlife expert visited with a few “creepy crawly” friends, including an albino python with a heart-shaped marking who was gentle enough to let the residents pet him.

It was a wonderful Halloween celebration filled with laughter and fun. A big thank-you to our activities staff, kitchen team, and amazing guests for helping make the day so memorable!

Our 400 Church Street community had a wonderful visit from the Ballston Area Senior Center Choir this week! They filled the room with music, performing a mix of golden oldies and patriotic favorites that had everyone smiling and singing along.
