Yo. Yesterday my friend died. Doing exactly what he wanted, exactly how he wanted to. We meet in 2000, downtown. One of those people that see you, just get you immediately. He always looked out for me. We spent summers in Southampton. I took these one afternoon on film. We smoked, surfed, laughed. We were figuring it out. What we wanted, where we were going. Drew was building his visions of his life. And he did it, he documented the shift in surfer culture on the east coast. Drew followed his heart, always. This grief I feel is a reflection of our friendship and our love, big.

My first contraction came at 5:58am. I sat immediately in meditation and received a visualization of the exact experience of delivery. And that’s how it went crystal clear, short and powerful!

I am forever grateful for always standing by my side and this magical little creature, whom I can already tell will continue to surprise me in every way for the rest of my life.

Three weeks in and Uma Georgiana’s excitement and curiosity hasn’t curbed.

Officially 2 on Saturday, we celebrated her birthday last month knowing her sister would turn up too near her birth date to celebrate properly.

The part of this transition I have feared the most is how our relationship will change.

Last night she didn’t want to sleep alone. When she crawled into bed she wanted to touch and cuddle ‘her’ baby as we fell asleep.

Uma Georgiana you are pure magical grace with a lot of hilarious boss in the mix.

Don’t let ideas get in the way of you learning to meditate.

Meditation is the fourth state of consciousness. All humans are capable of experiencing all the states of consciousness. The other three are being asleep, dreaming and being awake. Those are just as easy as the meditative state of consciousness. Go for it!
