Anchors aweigh to our incredible crew! We celebrated our amazing team with two fun nautical themed days! Our staff dressed in their best nautical themed attire and enjoyed lunch, dockside games, goodie bags, a photobooth, ice cream novelties, and raffles! Our courtyard, Embury Café, and Wesley Health Care Center entrance were transformed into lively under-the-sea scenes. We’re so thankful for our staff who keep this ship sailing strong!

Thank you to NYRA for honoring our resident, Lou Bacchi, at the 2025 Military Appreciation Day at Saratoga Race Course. Lou was invited to ring the ceremonial bell in the Winner’s Circle seven times at 17 minutes to post to signify when the horses have entered the paddock. Veteran residents from Woodlawn Commons, Embury Apartments, and Wesley Health Care Center also attended this special day and were invited into the Winners Circle to watch a race and meet the winning jockey. Thank you again to NYRA for honoring local veterans at this event!

The Wesley Community is coming together to support our longtime friend Della Rhoades, a devoted LPN with 30 years of strong, committed service at Wesley Health Care Center. Della had a significant head injury from a fall off her bike this past Friday. She remains at Albany Medical Center in critical condition. Her prognosis is uncertain. What is certain is that her medical bills have already begun to mount.
