I want you to have the ability to navigate life’s ups and downs more easily, be as strong and healthy as possible, and live with less stress and more joy. Qigong can help you get there. Several years ago I became very ill with a multitude of unexplainable symptoms.I saw close to 20 doctors, none of whom could help me, most just telling me it was all in my head and prescribing pharmaceuticals. I knew I wasn't crazy and I didn't give up. I finally found a functional medicine doctor who diagnosed mold poisoning and knew how to treat it, and a good therapist to help with the trauma and debilitating anxiety I had developed. Coupled with my strong faith and spiritual practice, I began to experience small, slow changes. But something was missing. I realized this was more than just healing my body. I needed to heal mind, body and soul. Then I found Qigong. Qigong was the missing link. Once I began practicing Qigong, significant changes in my health began to occur. Today I'm happier and stronger than I've ever been. Qigong has grounded and strengthened me physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It has cultivated joy and peace, and enhanced and deepened my spiritual practice. If Qigong can help me, I know it can help you create the peaceful, joyous life you deserve.

AM I SNOW WHITE?! 😃

For the first time in a long time, I detoured off my hiking trail to my favorite creekside spot for a little outdoor qigong.

Not only did this handsome young buck join me but then 3 squirrels scampered over, sat up in the creek bed & watched me for a good minute. Then a blue jay dipped into the creek right in front of me and I swear his wings followed my moves for a few beats. No, really!

If I knew Snow White’s animal song, I would have busted it out ✨🎶🙃

Qigong… it’s just magically for all living things 😁🦌🐿🦩🦅☀️🌱

FEELING A BIT OFF?

You know the feeling… you notice you’re a little bit crabby or tired or off centered. You just don’t feel like your self. You’re a little caddywampus, as my mom used to say. 🙃

Could be your energy is stuck or sluggish. The good news is you can unstick yourself and shift back to center.

Brushing the Meridians sloughs off stagnant energy and helps return us to balance. It’s a gentle way to give yourself a hug and a energy boost and get you back on track.

Slow and gentle, kind and loving. 💛

JOY SPARKS

This AM in my quiet time I was reminded to look for little bits of joy. Five bits to be exact. Okay, sure. 🙂

In need of some peace, I headed to Alum Rock Park this afternoon. I started out along the street when a young man, short and round, water bottle in hand with a labored walk, waved & shouted “Hi!” from 20 feet away. I grinned, returned his greeting then realized I’d forgotten my water in the car. I shouted I’d forgotten my water, thanks for the reminder.

I went back, got my water then headed out again. I saw him ahead, resting I thought. Nope, he was waiting for me. 🙂

In less than 7 minutes I learned:
•Sean walks here once a week.
•God loves everybody.
•He likes Streetfighter and is on level 15.
•He has lots of brothers & sisters & they all love football… but not his mom.
•His brother gave him his green & grey camo trucker’s cap, he likes it.
•He likes to hug.

We came to a split in the road, Sean going one way, me the other. We shook hands, a lot of times, then held hands. Then Sean prayed for me:
“O holy Mary, Mother of God….. Amen. I like you Trish!”
“Amen. I like you too, Sean. Thank you the prayer. “
“Any time. See you tomorrow!”
Then off he went. 🙂

Y’all, it was a really good prayer. 💛

Also: I saw a yellow butterfly the size of a pterodactyl…

Stay open, they’re there, those joy sparks. ✨

Anger, Frustration & Resentment 😡

We all feel these emotions, it’s part of being human. What’s important is that we find healthy ways to release our anger.

Blowing up, silently seething or ignoring it doesn’t work, it just helps the anger take root in our body which can lead to lots of health issues, both physical and emotional.
💚
The Liver Cleansing Exercise is an important & powerful tool that gives us a physical way to let go.
💚
Whether it’s a loved one, the guy who cut you off in traffic, the state of the world or yourself that’s got you riled, I hope you’ll try this exercise to release it all & regain a sense of balance and peace.

Spoiler alert: It might take a couple of sessions to set it ALL free. 🙃

Here’s a repost that can help… Massaging the Yang Organs

Bloating, belching, gas, acid ingestion, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea…. this exercise can help calm & reset your GI tract & get things moving.

Do it for 50-150 times, going at your own pace.

Be sure to wait 30-45 minutes after eating!

Grief. 💛
It can be such a painful & difficult emotion to process.
💛
It doesn't matter if your loss is current or many years in the past, the sadness can arise anytime. Sometimes it's quiet & gentle, sometimes it's crippling. And for many people, the holidays can amplify any deep loss.
💛
Whatever type of loss you've experienced, the Lung Cleansing Exercise can help you process the grief, sadness & sorrow & cultivate both physical & emotional well-being.

This exercise has helped me process all kinds of grief loss: from the death of my dad decades ago to the loss of my health a few years ago to letting go of several toxic friendships. I can honestly say my heart & spirit are so much lighter now.

And a gentle reminder: processing & releasing the grief & sadness does not mean you are letting go of your loved one. Quite the contrary, by letting go of the sadness you're just opening up more space for love. 💛

Added bonus: this is a great exercise to boost your immune system & respiratory system!
