This is an important read. There is now a new pop culture term called “ChatGPT Psychosis”. AI can become real to many people who overuse the technology. If you have children who use apps like Poli AI or Character AI where they can converse with AI characters; check in and ask if the AI is asking personal questions, if they are talking to the AI like a friend, and if the AI is encouraging them to do things.

People experiencing "ChatGPT psychosis" are being involuntarily committed to mental hospitals and jailed following AI mental health crises.

FYI for Parents: Have you heard of character AI?It is an app that kids are using to talk with fictional characters. Children are becoming so immersed that a teen recently committed su***de after he fell in love with the AI. Many boys are using it for pornographic conversations with their favorite anime characters. Kids in our area are actively using this app. The most chilling part to me is they are using AI instead of an actual therapist. This is so dangerous.
