In the previous video, Dr. Phan talked about the importance of stopping blood thinners 10 days before surgery. Here’s another important pre-op rule:

If you’re taking GLP-1 medications (like semaglutide), Dr. Phan asks you to stop it 1 week before your procedure. Why?

These medications slow stomach emptying, which can increase the risk of aspiration during anesthesia.

For eyelid surgery, every precaution like this makes a big difference.

Always check with your prescribing provider and surgeon before stopping medication.

Bilateral upper lid ptosis repair to improve eyelid position and eye opening and upper blepharoplasty to remove excess skin and heavy hooding

Results:
Eyes appear more open, lifted, and refreshed. At just one week post-procedure, there are very mild swelling and bruising residually, and the improved lid height and smoother contour are already visible. Results will continue to soften and refine over the coming weeks 💫

What we did:
Left upper lid ptosis repair combined with bilateral upper lid blepharoplasty to improve eyelid position and remove excess skin for a more balanced, refreshed appearance.

Results:
At just one week post-op, we’re already seeing improved symmetry and a more open eye contour. Swelling and bruising are still present, as expected at this stage—healing is well underway and the eyes are looking brighter and lifted.
