A sneak peak of our new ambulance! This unit was nearly 100% funded by 3 grants. The USDA funded 55% of the cost, The Wyoming Community Foundation funded $30,000 with support from the Wyoming Intertie Community Investment Program, and over $119,000 was funded by the Mineral Royalties Grant administered by SLIB. This ambulance features a state of the art emergency lighting, siren and control system by SoundOff Signal. This unit includes sync, link, and a low frequency siren as well. The ambulance also has dual attendant panels in the patient compartment so crew members can remain seated and restrained. The patient compartment lighting might look normal to the naked eye, but it’s actually a human save UV light to help with infection control! MS253 will also have a Stryker PowerPro2 stretcher and autoloader to reduce back strain and injuries.

This unit will be responding from our Hanna station. We can’t be more excited! It will be on display at Saratoga Days July 5th, stop by and help welcome this beautiful new equipment to the community.

The bridge over the Encampment River on County Road 680, Baggott Rocks Road, is temporarily closed per WYDOT reccomendations.

The County is currently exploring all options to get the bridge opened back up. Traffic should detour to Highway 230 and County Rd 201.

Thank you!

Wyoming Region 3 (Albany and Carbon Counties), in collaboration with local governments, is updating the 2020 Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The term "Hazard Mitigation" describes actions that can help reduce or eliminate long-term risks caused by hazards, such as floods and wildfires.

Residents, organizations, and businesses are encouraged to contribute to the planning process. What hazards do you think the County should focus on?

Benefits of this project include: ensuring eligibility for mitigation grant funding, increasing public awareness of hazards, and identifying a mitigation strategy for reducing future losses.
Stay tuned for upcoming public surveys and project engagement opportunities.
