We are a corporate foster care provider that specializes in working with people with intellectual disabilities and mental illness. We provide direct care for the clients living in our residential settings, we provide select employment opportunities, and we offer crisis, transition, and respite services as well as consulting services throughout the state of Minnesota through our subsidiary company Behavior Wizards.

Say hello to Piper (and Josh)! Piper is our very first Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intern, she is currently enrolled in graduate school at St Cloud State University and well on her journey to becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In addition to meeting with our Clinical Director Josh multiple times each month, Piper is getting a variety of experiences; everything from being a Direct Care Professional in our houses to (eventually) working as a consultant for external providers, like our team of Behavior Wizards. We are excited to have Piper on team J and J, she brings energy and enthusiasm to every meeting, always asks insightful questions, and truly cares about finding the best way to support those that are in our care. We are excited to be able to offer this program to aspiring BCBAs like Piper and are looking forward to seeing her continue to grow as a clinician!

Twenty-five years ago, J and J Holmes was founded, and Leif was the very first consumer to move in, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey. Over the years, Leif's incredible singing voice has been a staple at J and J Holmes, filling the air with joy and enthusiasm at every consumer gathering. As you enter Oakwood, you can't help but be greeted by Leif's melodious voice, singing classics like Johnny Cash or "O Come All Ye Faithful." When Leif isn't sharing his love of music, he enjoys a variety of activities, including watching movies, playing games, crafting, bowling, and staying connected with his family through FaceTime. Leif has been an integral part of numerous activities over the years, including Special Olympics swimming, where his infectious enthusiasm and cheering can be heard loud and clear as he supports his peers. Leif is truly a shining star and holds a special place in the hearts of everyone at J and J Holmes.

10 Years of Service Recognition - Celebrating a legacy of dedication.

10 years at J and J, and an incredible 28 years in the human services field.

Jade’s journey began as a teenager, as a direct care staff she quickly realized this work was her passion. From those early days to now, her commitment to serving others has never wavered.

For nine years, Jade served as a Direct Care staff member, building meaningful relationships and providing hands-on support. Jade then moved on to become a Foster Provider with MITH (Minnesota Intensive Therapeutic Homes), fostering 24 young women between the ages of 13-25.

Jade joined the J and J team in 2015 as a House Supervisor moving into the Program Manager role in 2018.

As a Program Manager, she leads with the wisdom of lived experience. Understands direct care because she has done it and foster care because she lived it.

Twenty-eight years in the field. Nearly two decades of hands-on and in-home care. A decade of leadership at J and J. Thank you for your dedication, and your heart for people with disabilities. Your work is not only a career - it is a calling.

Stan began his journey with J & J Holmes as a Direct Care Professional and quickly grew into advanced roles, including serving in the crisis team and later moving into leadership position within our homes.

During his early years with J & J Holmes, Stan earned both his Bachelor’s degree (2009) and Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling (2013) from St Cloud State University- all while continuing to support our individuals with dedication and heart.

In December 2015, Stan joined Behavior Wizards as a consultant, a role he continues in today. He has built long-standing connections with many of our consumers and is a familiar, friendly face at our annual Halloween Party.

Stan is also known for bringing fun wherever he goes- whether he’s playing guitar or joining in on games alongside staff and the people we support. His commitment, expertise, and warm presence make a meaningful impact across Central Minnesota.

Thank you, Stan, for your years of leadership, service, and continued dedication to our community.

Supporting our consumers takes many different roles - and Brian fills one of the most essential. As our resident maintenance extraordinaire, he’s truly a one-man team keeping everything running smoothly.
Brian has been part of the J & J Holmes team since 2015, and for the past 10 years he’s worked hard to make sure our homes are well-cared for and our residents have exactly what they need. He has a gift for finding creative solutions to help people live safely and comfortably, and he never hesitates to go the extra mile. If something needs fixing, adjusting, building, or magically making possible… everyone at J & J Holmes knows exactly who to call.
With his caring, compassionate heart and his signature “no problem!” Attitude, Brian brings positivity, flexibility, and an uncanny ability to make things work (pun absolutely intended).

Congratulations, Brian on 10 years!

We’re grateful for everything you do.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys time with his family and proudly serves the good city of Rice as Mayor.
