With gratitude for a remarkable life and profound respect for his enduring impact on healthcare, we remember Dr. Kenneth Heithoff, founder of Center for Diagnostic Imaging (now RAYUS Radiology).

When Dr. Heithoff founded CDI in 1981, he brought forward a vision that was far ahead of its time: a belief that patients deserved access to exceptional imaging care in a setting that was more accessible, compassionate, and affordable. As a highly specialized spine radiologist, his leadership and innovation helped shape the modern outpatient imaging industry and laid the foundation for what would become RAYUS Radiology.

Dr. Heithoff was a pioneer, visionary, and mentor whose commitment to clinical excellence continues to guide who we are today. His legacy lives on in the countless patients served, the careers he inspired, and the standard of care he helped redefine for generations to come.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Heithoff’s family, friends, colleagues, and all who were fortunate to know him and carry forward his vision.

RAYUS Vascular Care in the Twin Cities was the first clinic in the state of Minnesota to complete an Intravascular Lithotripsy procedure in an outpatient setting. This is major news for patients who, until now, would have been treated in an hospital. Shine on, team!
