Quality Life Services recognizes that the companionship of a beloved pet can be emotionally, cognitively and physically therapeutic for a personal care resident. That’s why our personal care homes now permit residents to bring along their furry friend!

Each of our personal care homes offers designated Pet-Friendly Rooms for the resident to enjoy snuggle time with their small dog or cat because home is where the heart is – and where your canine or feline companion is.

Pennsylvania’s Little League Softball World Series title drought is over. Reagan Bills, the star of the tournament, pitched her team to a championship with a 1-0 victory over Indiana on Sunday afternoon.

Our QLS-Westmont location is full of team spirit for the West Suburban Little League - WSLL team competing in the Little League Softball World Series. They are all "Team Hines", and can't wait to cheer Addie and her teammates on in the Purple Championship game tomorrow! Congratulations to the team on their success and best of luck tomorrow!

The 4Ms of Age-Friendly Health Systems are What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility. These four elements are the core components of age-friendly care, designed to improve the health and well-being of older adults, maintaining their highest level of independence.

The QLS-Apollo care team takes What Matters to heart (insert a heart emoji!)! We chat with new residents to learn their likes and dislikes, hobbies, food preferences and the way they would like to be cared for and then incorporate what matters to them into their plan of care. Each resident that we care for is unique and his / her plan of care should be too.

Local fine-artist, Sarah Gayle visited QLS-Westmont. She performed a live oil painting demonstration of a beautiful still-life. The residents loved seeing her work of art come to life before their eyes.

Things are going wild at Quality Life Services-Chicora! Pastor Amy hosted VBS last week. The theme was True North - Trusting Jesus in a Wild World. It looks like the residents and Pastor Amy had an Otter-ly good time.
Tomorrow the residents and staff ask the community to join them for a hopin' good time with Noble Hops in concert at 6PM. Join them on the lawn for a great night of local music.

Our Kids Day event held yesterday at QLS-Sarver was a fun day for kids of all ages. The residents, staff and community members that attended had a great time. Thank you Sundae Drive ice cream and Kona Ice of Butler for the tasty cool treats. A big thank you to all of our staff members that went above and beyond to make this event a spectacular day!

The Annual Butler County Health Care Consortium recognition event was hosted by the Tri-County Workforce Investment Board, Inc.
We are very proud of our Quality Life Services honorees, especially our own Maintenance Director, Barbara Johnston. Barbara is very dedicated to her job. She will work for weeks straight so that her staff can have time off from their jobs. No matter how much she works, Barbara always manages to arrive at work with a smile on her face!
