We have some exciting news to share regarding the care you receive at Two Rivers Family Practice. We are delighted to welcome Dr. Rik Smith to our practice. Dr. Smith is a highly experienced Internal Medicine physician with over 30 years in primary care and a special focus on adult and geriatric patients. He is fellowship-trained in gerontology, allowing him to provide expert care for patients aged 16 and older. Dr. Smith's medical education includes a degree from the University of Southern California, residency, and a gerontology fellowship at the University of Washington. He also spent 30 years at Kaiser Permanente, where he led the development of clinical guidelines, and most recently served as Director of Health Services at Vitas Healthcare. We believe Dr. Smith's extensive knowledge and commitment to quality care will greatly benefit our patients.

Nearly three years ago, I was given the amazing opportunity to join the team here at Two Rivers Family Practice. I have had the privilege to learn, grow, and care for the wonderful patients and families here.

As of recently, I have made the decision to move on from primary care in order to be more present and accountable for my family. This was by far not an easy decision to make and was not made without the careful thought and consideration for your continuity of care. I feel very confident that the remaining staff here at TRFP with Dr. Capraro and APRN Mary Beth will be able to meet your needs. We are actively looking for a replacement and are doing so with careful thought and consideration to the unique needs of our patients and community here.

I want to take this time to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to take care of you and your family. I will forever be grateful for my time and opportunity here and I wish you the very best moving forward. If you have any needs that need to be addressed with me specifically before my departure, please contact the office between now and April 25th.

Wishing all of our Families, Friends, and Patients here at Two Rivers Family Practice a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄

Special Holiday Hours

Our office will be closed the week of Monday, December 23rd, 2024 through December 27th, 2024 for the Christmas holidays. We will reopen on Monday, December 30th, 2024 at 8am.

We also will be closed Wednesday, January 1, 2025 in observation of the New Years Day holiday. We will reopen again on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 8am.

We have so much to be thankful for ESPECIALLY this year as we are reminded daily not to take our health for granted.
