Classes with plenty of space to listen and respond to your body’s unique needs. Very Beginner/Level I: An emphasis on gentle movement exploration prepares joints and muscles to hold poses longer and more comfortably. Strength, balance, and flexibility are developed through a variety of standing, reclined and seated poses. As students progress from Very Beginner to Level I, slow flowing sequences a

re introduced with a focus on safely transitioning between poses. Perfect for those new to yoga or anyone who wants to practice at a slower pace. House Flow/Level I/II: A mixed level class ideal for students transitioning from beginner’s to intermediate. Basic standing poses are linked within a moderately paced sequence, with suggestions for modifications given as needed. Challenge is increased as balancing and standing twists are taught in greater detail. An emphasis on developing upper body and core strength prepares the body for exploring inversions. Some experience recommended. Gentle/RESTorative: Combines gentle movement, reclined poses and conscious relaxation to release physical and mental tension. Props such as bolsters, blankets and blocks are used to create supported postures that passively stretch the body and calm the nervous system. Guided breath work and relaxation techniques are incorporated throughout. RESTorative classes include gentle movement but place greater emphasis on the stillness of longer held, supported poses. Gentle/RESTorative classes provide more opportunities for movement with fewer supported postures. Appropriate for all levels; especially useful for those recovering from injury.
